CIDCO is a non-profit organization at the forefront of marine sciences, hydrography and hydrospatial, which responds to the R&D needs of institutions and industry. The organization is one of the only research and training centres dedicated to marine geomatics and hydrospatial in the world. Its team of experts regularly trains hydrographers and hydrospatial specialists from around the world in its Cat-B training. Gateway Centre Of Excellence In Rural Health
Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (Gateway CERH) aims to improve the health and quality of life of rural residents through research, education and communication. Benefits of the program are multi-faceted. Local rural physicians will be engaged in supportive and collegial modes and will benefit from opportunities to study issues they themselves identify in their practices. Pharmaceutical firms will benefit from test beds for medications in a regime of clients, prescribers and pharmacists who are eager to participate and easily monitored. The sponsoring and surrounding communities will benefit by active participation in community-driven research. The provincial health ministry will benefit by improved delivery of care to rural populations. Results of the community-driven research programs will be shared broadly and without reservation to all researchers interested in rural health issues. Rural-based students and volunteers will benefit from training programs in medical investigation and analysis. The vision of the proponents is to make a measurable impact on the research affecting and healthcare of residents in rural communities, in Ontario and elsewhere. We were formerly named Gateway Rural Health Research Institute, but underwent a name change in 2015.

The Krembil Research Institute, formerly named the Toronto Western Research Institute, is the research arm of Toronto Western Hospital. Research within Krembil is directed at the development of diagnostics, treatments and management strategies in the following three program areas: 1, Brain and spine disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, stroke, epilepsy, spinal cord injuries, dementia, concussion, pain, and depression. The Reach Alliance began in 2015 at the University of Toronto as the Reach Project, a student-led, faculty-driven, multi-disciplinary research initiative dedicated to investigating the pathways to success for innovative programs that are reaching the world’s most marginalized populations. A unique partnership between the University of Toronto's Munk School and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, Reach has developed a unique methodology to uncover how and why certain development programs are able to reach the world’s poorest of the poor. The Reach Alliance will scale the Reach methodology to six other top universities by 2022.
