Stern Laboratories Inc. is a Canadian owned private corporation that conducts reliability and safety experiments for utilities, nuclear reactor and fuel vendors, government agencies and nuclear equipment suppliers. We also manufacture specialized equipment, such as electrically heated nuclear fuel simulators and devices for inspection and handling of spent nuclear fuel. We have a highly skilled and experienced staff of professional engineers and engineering technologists and have served the Nuclear Industry in Canada and in many other countries since 1962. The laboratory specializes in the design and construction of complex experimental facilities and devices to simulate CANDU, BWR and PWR heat transport systems, fuel handling systems, safety systems, reactor fuel and fuel channel components, conducting the experiments and analyzing and reporting the results. Highly specialized computing hardware and software are available for precise control of the experimental conditions and for high speed, accurate acquisition and reduction of the data. The laboratory facilities are continually being upgraded to meet the diverse needs of customers. Space and services are readily available for new experiments. We have a comprehensive quality assurance program in place to meet applicable requirements of various quality standards including 10CFR50 Appendix B, NQA-1 and applicable elements of CSA N286-05, CSA Z299.2 and CSA N286.2 Clause 6.

The Citizen Lab is an interdisciplinary laboratory based at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto, focusing on research, development, and high-level strategic policy and legal engagement at the intersection of information and communication technologies, human rights, and global security. Centre For International Sustainable Development Law
The CISDL is an international legal research center with the mission to promote sustainable societies and the protection of ecosystems by advancing the understanding, development and implementation of international sustainable development law. The Centre is governed by a distinguished Board of Governors and is guided a roster of honoured international advisors and expert collaborators. The CISDL is engaged in six primary areas of sustainable development law research, each of which is led by a CISDL Lead Counsel based at a developing or developed country law faculty or international organisation. These include: Trade, Investment & Competition Law Biodiversity & Biosafety Law Health & Hazards Law Climate Change Law Human Rights & Poverty Eradication Natural Resources Law Governance, Institutions & Accountability. The CISDL has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The Centre publishes books, articles, working papers and legal briefs in English, Spanish and French. It hosts academic workshops, legal expert panels, law courses and seminar series, and conferences to further its legal research agenda. Historique Le Cégep de Thetford a été doté d’un Centre spécialisé en technologie minérale en 1984. En plus des activités réalisées en technologie minérale, le Centre a débuté, en 1988, des travaux de R&D dans le domaine des plastiques. À l’été 1993, le ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Science a reconnu l’expertise développée par le Centre, dans le secteur des plastiques. Le Centre spécialisé a alors changé d’appellation pour Centre de technologie minérale et de plasturgie. En janvier 2010, le CTMP a reçu du MDEIE un soutien financier majeur pour le développement de ses infrastructures de recherche dans le cadre du Programme de soutien à la recherche-Volet 2. Cette subvention, à laquelle se sont ajoutées les contributions financières du Cégep de Thetford, du ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS) et du CTMP, a permis de réaliser un projet d’agrandissement et de réaménagement du Cégep de Thetford de plus de 5 millions de dollars et de doter le CTMP d’équipements d’une valeur de plus de 3,5 millions de dollars. Ces travaux ont changé le visage du CTMP et contribuent à lui donner un nouvel élan dans son développement. Mission Au service des entreprises et des organisations, le CTMP a pour mission de contribuer au développement de produits et de procédés novateurs par la réalisation d'activités de recherche appliquée, d'aide technique et d'information dans les secteurs de la technologie minérale et des matières plastiques.
