Dansk Center For Strategisk Forskning I Type 2 Diabetes Dd2

DD2 arbejder hver dag på at skabe bro mellem nye forskningsresultater og behandling af patienterne. Det gør vi ved at indsamle viden og data om type 2 diabetes og stille det til rådighed for diabetesforskningen. For at skabe bedre og mere præcise behandlinger af type 2 diabetes har vi etableret en biobank, hvor vi indsamler viden og blod- og urinprøver fra patienter med type 2 diabetes. Den viden og de data, vi har fra prøverne i vores biobank, kan vi sammenkoble med offentlige registre. Det giver mulighed for at følge udviklingen i sygdomsforløb og spore tendenser, der kan indsættes i en større sammenhæng af viden og informationer. Det giver forskningen det bedste udgangspunkt for at finde bedre behandlinger. Vores mål er, at alle personer med type 2 diabetes bliver tilbudt en individuel behandling, fordi type 2 diabetes er mere end én sygdom. Har man fået diabetes indenfor de sidste 2 år, kan man være med.

Det Danske Bloddonorstudie

Visionen med Det Danske Bloddonorstudie (DBDS) er at skabe et projekt, der giver indsigt i biologiske markører, som kan være med til at forklare og forudsige sygdomme. Vores forskning vil komme danske patienter til gavn og være et led i tidlig indsats og bekæmpelsen af sygdomme. DBDS drives af vores fagligt stærke forskere og projektmedarbejdere samt vores engagerede sundhedsfaglige personale, der rekrutterer og tapper bloddonorer. Vores forskning er kun mulig takket være danske bloddonorers indsats rundt om i landets tappelokaler. Historielab

HistorieLab – Nationalt Videncenter for Historie- og Kulturarvsformidling er blandt landets førende forskningsmiljøer indenfor historie- og kulturarvsformidling i et didaktisk perspektiv. Videncentret arbejder med tre faglige spor: ’Historiedidaktik’, ’Historien som vækstmotor’ samt ’Pædagogik, kultur og dannelse’. I tæt samarbejde med uddannelserne i det pædagogisk- samfundsfaglige område samt de øvrige forskningsprogrammer indenfor forskningsafdelingen ’Anvendt Forskning i Pædagogik og Samfund’ er det videncentrets opgave at arbejde med anvendelsesorienterede forsknings- og udviklingsprojekter, der kan styrke uddannelsernes forskningsbasering, både i UCL og de øvrige professionshøjskoler samt omsætte viden i praksis. Videncenteret har et tæt samarbejde med Vejle kommune.

Naturbasen - Danmarks Nationale Artsportal

Naturbasen er Danmarks Nationale Artsportal med mere end tilmeldte brugere og 22 års erfaring med folkelig naturovervågning (Citizen Science). Naturbasen har mere end 85 samarbejdspartnere, bl.a. Miljø- og Fødevareministeriet, nationalparker, museer, kommuner, konsulenter og foreninger, og understøtter herigennem forskningen og naturforvaltningen i Danmark. Gennem hjemmesiden og app'en Naturbasen indsamles naturdata som kvalitetssikres. Data er benyttet i Naturplan Danmark, i biodiversitetskortet, i HNV-kortet, i forvaltningen af Naturstyrelsens arealer, i rødlistevurderinger af truede arter, i kommuners forvaltning, af Nationalparkerne, i VVM-vurderinger og mange andre steder. Naturbasen er initiativtager til atlasprojekter med biller, svirrefluer, dagsommerfugle, guldsmede, padder og krybdyr i samarbejde med Naturhistorisk Museum i Aarhus og med nogle af landets fremmeste eksperter. Den nye viden der er fremkommet fra projekterne benyttes i naturforvaltningen og i VVM-vurderinger. Sports Orthopedic Research Center – Copenhagen (SORC-C) is a multidisciplinary research unit at the Orthopedic Department at Amager-Hvidovre University Hospital. The research unit was initiated by Professor Per Hölmich in 2005 at Amager Hospital, creating the foundation for SORC-C that was established together with Professor Kristian Thorborg in 2012. The main focus of SORC-C is centered around prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal problems, and SORC-C is involved in research, education and organizational work at both national and international levels to promote and deliver safe and healthy sport, exercise and physical activity participation for all.

The Cosmic Dawn Center Dawn

The Cosmic Dawn Center (DAWN) is a new international research center of excellence, primarily funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. DAWN is located in Copenhagen at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, and at the Space division of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU-Space). The center is dedicated to uncovering how and when the first galaxies, stars and black holes formed, through observations with the prime telescopes of the next decade (ALMA, JWST, Euclid, E-ELT, HST) as well as through theory and simulations.

Virtual Learning Lab

We are an innovative research group at the Department of Psychology at the University of Copenhagen that has the aim of producing new knowledge that can change how people learn through optimally designed virtual technology. Our current research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of learning in immersive learning environments (including but not limited to virtual and augmented reality). In order to take a significant step towards truly understanding how people learn we focus on combining laboratory research with experiments in classrooms using theories from cognitive psychology and modern methodology. At the Virtual Learning Lab we can assess the learning process by measuring cognitive and emotional activity in real time with measures such as EEG, GSR, ECG, EMG, and eye tracking.

Disai Project

DisAI is a three-year Horizon Europe project with focus on language technologies and trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI) in the area of information disorders. Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT), DFKI, CERTH and University of Copenhagen joined forces for this international project. The DisAI project focuses on disinformation combating, which we consider one of the most important societal challenges to tackle. The partners have a rising research record and involvement in international initiatives in the areas of natural language processing, media processing and information disorders. Our three main research in this project areas are- Multilingual Language Technologies - Multimodal Natural Language Processing - Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence DisAI is part of the Twinning scheme, so the main project goals are improving KInIT’s scientific excellence and strengthening research management, administrative skills and support for excellent research at KInIT.
