Center For Rna Medicine
The Center for RNA Medicine (CRM) is located on the Copenhagen campus of Aalborg University in the heart of the South Harbor of Copenhagen. The main focus of CRM is to understand the biological functions of microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in human health and disease. We are currently pursuing several research projects that explore the roles of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) and RNA editing in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and obesity. Our long-term goal is to translate ncRNA discoveries into novel RNA-targeted therapeutic strategies for the treatment of life-threatening diseases, and we have received DKK 60 million from the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Challenge Programme to advance development of new miRNA-targeted therapies to tackle NASH. For more information about CRM, please visit our website:

Centre For Blue Governance
The Centre for Blue Governance is a multidisciplinary social science research group focused on the interactions between people and the sea. Accordingly, we define blue governance as the formal and informal processes of collective decision-making, planning, deliberating, and capacity building by governmental, market, and civil society actors connected to marine and coastal environments. Through addressing issues of legitimacy, democracy, and sustainability in governance, we seek to improve understanding of the strategies used by people in response to social, economic, environmental, and political change. The Centre for Blue Governance is located at Aalborg University, Denmark, within the Department of Planning.

Heukno
GenAI (generative artificial intelligence) is taking over more and more tasks previously believed to require human-level intelligence. However, GenAI is fundamentally limited by the insights and concepts in its training data, and the tasks presented to it by its human users. Effectively, the systems act as assistants helping humans navigating the aggregate of human knowledge. We propose a radically different role for AI. We believe that the future of AI will be characterized by self-exploratory systems that generate insights, concepts, and ideas on their own in domains of interest. These systems will not be limited by human knowledge, nor human goals. The systems will act as free explorers teaching and inspiring humans by their findings, and driving scienfic discoveries. We are building such a system.

Hypermag - Center For Hyperpolarization In Magnetic Resonance
Welcome to the LinkedIn page of Center for Hyperpolarization in Magnetic Resonance (HYPERMAG). Follow us to receive news about our research activities, results, job openings, events etc. HYPERMAG is a center of Excellence committed to addressing basic scientific questions of hyperpolarization, a method to dramatically increase the sensitivity of the Magnetic Resonance signal. HYPERMAG will provide a theoretical and experimental basis for achieving and harnessing a signal enhancement, and optimal ways of extracting information and data that enable new and significant applications in medicine, biology and chemistry. Hyperpolarized Magnetic Resonance is a unique method to provide novel functional and metabolic data. It has a large potential in medical imaging, as a quick method for providing earlier and more accurate diagnosis, staging and monitoring of progression and response to eg. cancer treatment. And an equally large potential for bringing forward valuable new knowledge on the inner workings of living cells, as a non-invasive profiling of metabolism and metabolic interplay for the benefit of eg. cause-effect studies in pharmaceutical or nutrition research. HYPERMAG was established in July 2015 and is funded by Danish National Research Foundation. Center Leader is Professor Jan Ardenkjær-Larsen, inventor of the hyperpolarization method Dissolution Dynamic Nuclear Polarization.
