Ictct
ICTCT (International Co-operation on Theories and Concepts in Traffic safety) is an international association aiming since 1988 at building up and sharing scientific knowledge on road safety, with a particular interest for methods that do not only rely on crash data but also on non-crash events. It organizes conferences, courses and opportunities for knowledge transfer, all directed to a worldwide professional audience. ICTCT approaches safety as an integral part of the wider road traffic system, envisaging all transport modes with a specific emphasis on vulnerable road users.

Nabis Dtu
The NaBIS group integrates micro- and nanoscience in lab-on-chip systems for biological and environmental analyses. The objective of the group is to develop highly sensitive technologies for medical diagnosis, treatment monitoring as well as environmental monitoring. We specialize in application-driven research focusing on the entire process from manipulating the properties of biological structures, creating sensors and implementing everything in a reliable point of care (POC) device for efficient diagnostic and monitoring purposes. The fundamental expertise of NaBIS is the development of highly sensitive micro- and nanosensors integrated within microfluidic systems for biological and environmental applications. The performance of these sensors is optimized through theoretical simulations as well as rapid prototyping and is tailored for the application at hand. The NaBIS group focuses on interdisciplinary research in order to solve the versatile challenges of integrating micro- and nanoscience in biological analysis. NaBIS research focuses on creating intelligent point of care systems for personalised diagnostics and therapeutics and for monitoring. NaBIS has build expertise in the group in sample handling, microfluidics, modelling and implementation of the technology. To ensure NaBIS research can solve actual technological bottlenecks in diagnostics and monitoring, NaBIS collaborates closely with end users of the technology: doctors and researchers. The strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration ensures that the best competences are united to create the best solutions possible. Professor Winnie E. Svendsen, an expert on micro and nano integrated systems for biomedical applications, leads the NaBIS group.

Ready2loop
A programme supported by the Danish Industry Foundation ready2LOOP is a programme supported by the Danish Industry Foundation and carried out by Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in order to support Danish industry to increase its competitiveness when transitioning to Circular Economy (CE), across the entire value chain. ready2LOOP builds on the foundation of the MATChE platform, which has helped over 450 manufacturing companies to increase their readiness to transition to CE. ready2LOOP is adding six new value chain positions to support manufacturing companies to take full advantage of circularity opportunities, namely raw material manufacturers, component suppliers, distributors, retailers, consumers and value recovery companies (including waste management & recycling). ready2LOOP is hereby putting a spotlight on the collaboration in the entire value chain, precisely to ensure that good ideas and intentions turn into successful value chain alliances towards circularity.| A solid partnership is driving the project The DTU-led project is partnering with consultancies Rambøll and Viegand & Maagøe, to support companies in their transition to circularity. In addition, the project has a strong steering group, consisting of The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), The Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE) and The Danish Business Authority. Danish companies will be engaged during the project for co-creation, development, testing and implementation of the CE ready2LOOP platform.

Volt - Center For Volatile Interactions
All organisms on our planet produce a wide range of volatile compounds to communicate, cooperate, and compete with each other. These complex, yet invisible, interactions are not only essential to the organisms, but also have profound effects on climate via atmospheric processes, such as aerosol and cloud formation. While the biological processes exchanging the greenhouse gases, CO2 and methane, are well-studied, we have a poor understanding of the processes releasing and consuming reactive trace gases, such as volatile organic compounds, reactive nitrogen gases, and sulfur compounds (here ‘volatiles’). This hampers our ability to predict how the exchange of volatiles responds to environmental changes and feeds back on climate. In VOLT, we assess the biology of production, consumption and transport of volatiles across organisms and ecosystems. We exploit the most advanced instrumentation and methodology in laboratory and field-based approaches targeting specific biological processes producing and consuming volatiles from microsite to ecosystem scales. We link volatile measurements to a detailed understanding of the biology in oceans, lakes, cryptogams, soil-plant-environment, and ice sheets. We aim to provide groundbreaking insights into the complex biological interactions controlling the exchange of volatiles between ecosystems and the atmosphere. Our overarching hypotheses are that microorganisms are key producers and consumers of volatiles across ecosystems and that volatile emissions and their effects on current and future climates can only be quantified, if we understand the intricate interactions between the organisms and their environment.
