The Center for Macroecology, Evolution and Climate (CMEC) is a research center dedicated to the scientific fields of biodiversity and macroecology. CMEC is located at Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen, under leadership of Professor Carsten Rahbek. The aim of CMEC's research is to elucidate biology’s “laws of nature” by focusing on the main processes influencing life on Earth. Our research helps society address two of the most pressing challenges of our time: How do we counter the ongoing global mass extinction of species? How do we predict the effects of global land-use and climate change on biological diversity? The center is home to high-profile terrestrial and marine researchers, postdoctoral researchers, PhD fellows as well as technical and administrative staff. Our scientific staff work within the fields of macroecology and biodiversity, historical biogeography, oceanography, evolutionary biology, ecology, population biology, climate change research, conservation biology, and environmental economics. In addition, the staff at CMEC is engaged in citizen science, public engagement, and science education projects.

The center brings together scholars from the world's leading research institutions in interdisciplinary collaboration, engaging stakeholders from industry, government, and civil society. Dccc - Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center er det nationale forpligtende samarbejde om forskning og udvikling af kræftområdet. Vores vision er, at alle danske kræftpatienter skal have adgang til den bedste og forskningsbaserede diagnostik, behandling og opfølgning. Vi blev etableret i 2017 af Sundheds- og Ældreministeriet og Danske Regioner, som en del af kræftplan IV `Styrket indsats på kræftområdet – patienternes kræftplan' med en stående bevilling på finansloven. The purpose of is to create optimal conditions for Danish cancer research by promoting cooperation and coordination of cancer research as well as increasing access to international funding and partnerships. In addition, the centre helps spread new knowledge and new treatment methods faster and more systematically across the country, thus shortening the path from research to clinical practice. Thereby, contributes to optimise cancer treatment in Denmark. gathers management and professional capacities within cancer and healthcare in Denmark in a national centre for cancer research and treatment and is organised with a Governance Board, a Steering Committee and a Scientific Council. Dccc Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy is a national research center which works towards the following vision: more research - better treatment - fewer side effects. This means that we want to create an environment in Denmark where there is even more research done within the field of radiotherapy. With the help of even more research and talented professionals all over the country, we are working to ensure that treatment of cancer continues to get better and thereby curing still more patients suffering from the disease. Additionally, better treatment should not only entail an increased number of cancer survivors. We also wish and work towards patients experiencing even fewer side effects during and after the course of their radiotherapy treatment. Our research center involved several actors such as: Every cancer department in Denmark which provides radiotherapy Center for Nuclear Technologies at DTU Nutech Danish Centre for Particle Therapy Every university in Denmark In addition, we work closely together with The Multidisciplinary Cancer Groups concerning the clinical protocols. As such, we are a national center evolved around binding collaborations and knowledge sharing across regional borders because we believe that greater research within the field will enhance the chances of healing even more patients suffering from cancer than earlier seen and at the same time ensure lesser side effects. We work together towards one common goal: to cure as many cancer patients as possible while reducing unwanted side effects. We are a part of (Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center) and financially supported by the Danish Cancer Society in a five-year grant term until end of 2022.

Mission & Vision DTU Nanolab is the National Centre for Nanofabrication and Characterization in Denmark. The center is an open access research infrastructure facility owned by and located at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The 100 staff members include engineers, technicians as well as professors and Ph.D. students. Open Access Pending proper training and instructions DTU Nanolab is open to all academic and commercial entities either through partnership or on a pay per use basis. We operate and maintain advanced processing equipment within 1350 m2 cleanroom facilities. Our suite of 9 advanced electron microscopes allows in-situ study of chemical reactions with atomic resolution as well as characterization of composition and nanocrystalline structure of materials. Broad Network Our customer base reaches from small start-up to multinational companies. We host users and collaborate with most of the Danish and a number of foreign universities. Concerning operation of the facility, user safety, tool access and booking systems as well as user training we have close exchange of best practice with our colleagues in the Nordic Countries (NTNU, Chalmers, ALTO,KTH) as well as other universities facilities such as MIT, Stanford, Tyndall Labs, University of Twente and the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF).

The Hospital is a 860-bed emergency- and teaching hospital with a patient-uptake based on citizens. More than emergency admittances are handled every year. EMERGE Copenhagen was established in August 2022 as part of a growing and more structured activity in research in emergency abdominal surgery. The EMERGE Cph group consists of emergency surgeons, nurses, clinical dieticians, and physiotherapists. The EMERGE Cph research group's vision is to become a leading research facility in Scandinavia and Europe. The EMERGE Cph group performs high-quality clinical research based on the patient cohort in need of high-risk emergency surgery (laparoscopy, laparotomy) due to Perforated bowel / perforated hollow viscus Major abdominal bleeding Trauma Bowel obstruction Mesenteric ischemia Complicated acute abdominal wall, including burst abdomen and open abdomen VAC, NPWT, VAWCM The focus of the group is broad, but the overall topic is to identify subgroups of patients in this heterogeneous cohort with the goal of tailored, optimized treatment within the fields of preoperative diagnosis and optimization intraoperative strategies postoperative recovery with special emphasis on nutrition and postoperative rehabilitation measures of reducing re-admissions establishment of a patient network for patients who underwent emergency laparotomy.

SDU.Structures is a research group within the Civil and Architectural Engineering Section at SDU. The group is led by Associate Prof. Henrik Brøner Jørgensen and focus on research within structural Engineering. The research is characterised by a focus on developing design models and assessment methods that can be used in practice. This approach requires experimental and theoretical research in tandem, where models are evaluated and confirmed through physical testing. The group is internationally recognised for its work on developing plasticity based models, and is active in the following domains of concrete structures: behaviour and design methods for structural concrete, design of innovative structures, shear in reinforced concrete, shear in prestressed beams, design and strength of connections, serviceability design of connections, strengthening of existing structures, residual load-bearing capacity of damaged existing structures, and design and capacity of robotically 3d-printed concrete structures. The experimental research is conducted in the structural laboratory, which is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for experimental research on concrete structures. The Group also provides teaching for the BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering and The MSc in Structural Engineering.

Center For Early Intervention And Family Studies
CIF is located at the Department of Psychology at the University of Copenhagen. The center integrates theoretical and applied research on the mental health of 0-6 year old children (from pregnancy to preschool age), parental resources, early detection, and preventive interventions.
