IOBA is the University Institute of Applied Ophthalmobiology, the Eye Institute of the University of Valladolid (Spain). We work through three patient-centred pillars: research, clinical care and training of ophthalmology and vision-science professionals, all focused on helping people preserve and recover vision. Within the IOBA Unit of Excellence, our translational research programme is structured around three cross-cutting lines: Advanced Therapies; Biomarkers, Inflammation and Neuroprotection; and Ophthalmic Technology—bringing better prevention, diagnosis and treatment closer to patients. Our scientists and clinicians connect laboratory discoveries with real clinical needs, so that advances reach where they matter most: the patient. We contribute to this mission through specialised facilities and capabilities, including a Controlled Environment Laboratory for ocular surface studies, a Clinical Trials Unit, and expertise in the evaluation of safety and performance of ophthalmic products and medical devices. Quality and patient safety guide everything we do. IOBA operates under an ISO 9001-based management system and is certified in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), supporting reliable research and robust transfer to clinical practice, improving vision outcomes for patients.

Medical Anthropology Research Center
The Medical Anthropology Research Center (MARC) is an interdisciplinary initiative of the Department of Anthropology, Philosophy and Social Work, at the University of Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. Its members include professionals from the ASTERISC Research Group in the Department of Communication Studies, and the Departments of: Nursing, Business and Economics, Catalan Philology, History and Art History, and Surgery and Medicine. Together they work to orient research and exchange at the interface between Social and Human Sciences, and Health Science. The Center is characterized by applied interdisciplinary research, training and consulting. Nowadays, the URV has been developing and expanding as an authority on the discipline in Southern Europe, as was recognised by the International Medical Anthropology community.

Scientific And Technological Centers Of The University Of Barcelona Ccitub
The Scientific and Technological Centers of the University of Barcelona (CCiTUB) are one of the largest mid-size infrastructure facilities in Spain, with highly-qualified staff specialists, and the broadest range of characterization technologies. Our main goal to is to support research and innovation in the areas of chemistry, materials sciences and biosciences with several types of microscopy and advanced characterization techniques, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, chemical spectroscopy, high-performance biotechnology, radiological protection, etc. We also aim to enforce the university-industry relationship and promote innovation and technological transfer by participating in agreements and R+D+i projects with industry. Finally, we offer training courses and workshops regularly and are involved as partners in different European and International Infrastructure Networks, managing also two nodes in ICTS infrastructures. The CCiTUB owns more than m2 distributed in 4 of the University of Barcelona campuses and we have 160 workers, among technicians and management staff, providing annual service to more than 350 institutions and more than 1400 users.

The VISAVET Health Surveillance Centre is a centre for research support and teaching belonging to the Complutense University of Madrid. The field work of VISAVET includes the following areas- Animal Health - Public Health - Food Safety - Environment The general aims of the Center are Research and Training, together with technology transfer and activities of scientific and technical advice, within the areas mentioned above and aimed to the public and private sector. To achieve these objectives the VISAVET Center- Participate and co-ordinate R&D projects - Transfer the scientific advances to public and private sectors - Advise companies and governments together with scientific and technological support - Organize training courses and scientific and technical stays, for both students and professionals nationally and internationally - Develop outreach activities to bring science closer to the society The Centre's expertise has been endorsed, among other achievements, through accreditation by ENAC according to ISO 17025 and its designation of its laboratories and reference laboratories worldwide for different diseases. VISAVET Centre has laboratories located in different areas of biological containment, designed and built to work with infectious agents at risk, in a completely safe for staff working in them and the community around them. VISAVET has a Biosafety level 3 Area or BSL-3 with BSL-3 biosafety laboratories and BSL-3 necropsy room working with biological agents listed in Risk Group 3 (former OIE List A). This area has also a ABSL-3 animal facilities with three individual boxes with air conditioning and independent access to allow the simultaneous performance of different assays and controls.

Advanced Information Systems Laboratory Universidad De Zaragoza
The Advanced Information Systems Laboratory was founded in 1993, focused on the creation of technology and knowledge oriented towards the development of information systems capable of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. One of the problems found in the beginning was the need for information resources that could justify the need for new knowledge organization systems and new developments in AI. It is for this reason that in 1998 an approach to the world of geographic information systems was initiated. This problem domain offers interesting challenges due to the complexity, variety and size of its data. In addition to this, regulatory developments in the United States (1994) and in the EU (2007) ensured that geographic data owned by public administrations had to be publicly accessible. The geographic field is therefore one of the earliest cases, possibly the very first, in which the generalized release of large and complex data for reuse was promoted, well before the term “Open Data” became popular.

Aries Artificial Intelligence For Environment & Sustainability
We are an international group of researchers working towards generating multidisciplinary scientific knowledge from human-nature interdependence to address the most complex sustainability problems in the planet. Innovation in modelling integration is our main strength and the ARIES (ARtificial Intelligence for Environment & Sustainability) project our emblem. ARIES intends to make a collaborative and open-source platform for interoperable models and data, based on the k.LAB technology: an AI-powered and web-accessible software building for the first time new knowledge from the integration of the existing one. Besides ecosystem services, we also tackle natural capital accounting, food security, spatial planning, and renewable energy. The development of ARIES is hosted by the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3). BC3 is a BERC, Basque Excellence Research Centre, based in the Basque Country (Spain), which aims to contribute to long-term research on the causes and consequences of climate change in order to foster the creation of knowledge in this multidisciplinary science.
