The IRS Research Centre promotes studies and research projects in all the medical specialties connected with respiratory specialty with a a multidisciplinary approach, promotes multidisciplinary awareness and education about the respiratory aspects of every other medical specialty, carries out scientific research and clinical trials. IRS is active in field of scientific publishing through Multidisciplinary Respiratory Medicine the Official IRS Journal.

The Research Center "E.Piaggio" is an interdisciplinary research center of the University of Pisa dedicated to frontier research in the study and engineering of Natural and Artificial Intelligent Systems. It is one of the oldest interdisciplinary research centers in Europe. Il CINI (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l’Informatica) costituisce oggi il principale punto di riferimento della ricerca accademica nazionale nei settori dell’Informatica e dell’Information Technology. Costituito il 6.12.1989, il CINI è posto sotto la vigilanza del Ministero competente per l’Università e la Ricerca, include solo università pubbliche e costituisce soggetto in house rispetto agli enti costitutori, partecipanti e legittimamente affidanti. Non ha scopo di lucro, né può distribuire utili. Il Consorzio si è sottoposto alla Valutazione della Qualità della Ricerca da parte dell’ANVUR. The Radar and Surveillance Systems (RaSS) is a National Laboratory of the National Interuniversity Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT), a no-profit consortium composed of 44 Research Units (38 Italian Universities, 7 Departments of the National Research Council-CNR) and 6 National Laboratories. The RaSS Lab was founded in 2010 with the purpose of creating a critical mass to face research challenges in the field of radar and applied electromagnetics. Today, RaSS counts 15 employees (researchers and administrative staff), 3 Post-Docs, 1 PhD student and 11 consultants (University, research and quality manager). RaSS has been involved both as leader as well as participant in several national and international research projects, funded by MoD (Ministry of defence), EDA (European Defence Agency). MIUR (Ministry of Education), MISE (Ministry of Economic Development), EU FP7, H2020, ESA, ASI, Tuscany Region, NCIA (NATO), Italian Industries like LEONARDO, MBDA, VITROCISET, INTERMARINE, GEM, E-GEOS, others. Most of the RaSS projects led to the production of technological demonstrators at TRL 5-6.

L’Istituto di Ricerca su Innovazione e Servizi per lo Sviluppo (IRISS) è un organo del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) costituito nel 2014 a seguito delle fusione tra l’Istituto di Ricerca sulle Attività Terziarie (IRAT) e l’Unità Organizzativa di Supporto di Napoli dell’Istituto di Studi Giuridici Internazionali (ISGI), entrambi istituiti nei primissimi anni ‘80. La missione dell’IRISS è rappresentata dallo studio dell’innovazione e dei servizi nell’ottica dello sviluppo della competitività internazionale di imprese e territori, due contesti nei quali si genera valore economico, culturale e sociale. L’approccio sistemico e interdisciplinare utilizzato integra la prospettiva economica e aziendale, quella propria della pianificazione e gestione del territorio e, infine, la prospettiva giuridica che investe trasversalmente tutti gli interessi di ricerca dell’Istituto.
