D.E.E.P. LAB. Srl è una start-up innovativa nata nell’ottobre 2019 a seguito della vittoria di un bando PIN (Pugliesi Innovativi) della Regione Puglia. L’idea alla base della start up è quella di creare supporti innovativi per l’educazione e l’apprendimento mediante la digital manufacturing, da cui la scelta del nome della start up: D.E.E.P. LAB. è acronimo di Discover Education Entertainment and Play Laboratory, da cui si evince la volontà di sviluppare strumenti funzionali tanto all’educazione quanto all’intrattenimento, nell’ottica della modernissima pratica dell’edutainment, della didattica esperienziale attraverso la scoperta e il gioco. È dunque sinonimo di approfondimento sulla didattica ma è anche profondità pratica, nello sviluppo del tridimensionale e delle costruzioni in scala. Infatti, il progetto candidato a finanziamento per l’anno 2019/2020 con il Bando PIN – Pugliesi Innovativi promosso dalla Regione Puglia è 3D CITY PLUS: Play with Land and Urban Scraps L’obiettivo di questo progetto è quello di potenziare la relazione tra territori e stampa 3D attraverso il rilievo, la prototipazione e l’elaborazione di centri storici tridimensionali da utilizzare come supporto per laboratori di didattica del territorio. Questa start-up dunque scommette sul legame virtuoso tra STORIA – TERRITORIO – TECNOLOGIA

Eupraxia

The EuPRAXIA project aims at the construction of an innovative electron accelerator using laser- and electron-beam-driven plasma wakefield acceleration that offers a significant reduction in size and possible savings in cost over current state-of-the-art radiofrequency-based accelerators. It is the first European project that develops a dedicated particle accelerator research infrastructure based on novel plasma acceleration concepts and laser technology. EuPRAXIA envisions a beam energy of 1 to 5 giga-electron volts (GeV) and a beam quality (single pulse) equivalent to present RF-based linacs. Its performance goals will enable versatile applications in various domains, e.g. as a compact free-electron laser (FEL), compact sources for medical imaging and positron generation, table-top test beams for particle detectors, as well as deeply penetrating X-ray and gamma-ray sources for material testing. The project also provides unique opportunities for education and training in innovative technologies in the European Research Area and beyond. In 2021, EuPRAXIA was included in the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) Roadmap, which identifies those research facilities of pan-European importance that correspond to the long-term needs of the European research communities. This project has received funding from the European Union´s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme; the UK Research and Innovation Guarantee Funds; the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation; and the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research through the Next Generation EU recovery funds (PNRR).

LINCE offers the possibility to activate specific and targeted research contracts on issues concerning product and process innovation in the field of ceramic materials with particular reference to: application of raw materials and synthetic products; innovative processes for processing powders and composite materials, including complex composition and architecture; formulation of mixtures; innovation and optimization of production processes and the reuse of processing by-products; optimisation of the driving variables of the grinding, drying, firing and final treatment processes; mass and surface characterisation for the design of new materials or new large-scale material applications; Multiscale modelling and predictive aspects regarding the correlations between microstructure and macroscopic physical properties. In addition, LINCE is open to the creation of spin-offs for young people who have gained sufficient experience within the Centre and in the locations participating in the activities of the Centre, the implementation of joint training and research activities between the participants in the Centre and companies that will be interested in the initiatives.
