Le risorse di Transcrime provengono interamente da contratti e finanziamenti erogati da enti privati e istituzioni pubbliche locali, nazionali ed internazionali. Transcrime is the Joint research centre on innovation and crime of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna and the Università degli Studi di Perugia. The Centre, directed by Ernesto U. Savona, has offices in Milan and has a staff of more than 30 people, made up of academic researchers, contract researchers, Ph.D. candidates, interns and administrative personnel. Transcrime is exclusively funded by contracts and funding from private corporations and local, national and international public institutions.

The laboratory operating within the IRCCS Don Gnocchi in Florence contributes to the systematization of the acquisition and analysis of instrumental and clinical data. Its objective is to study, validate, and develop automatic systems to support clinical decision-making in rehabilitation medicine that can be useful and applied in the Foundation's daily clinical practice. This technology, based on learning algorithms (machine/deep learning), can support the selection of relevant information and the interpretation of complex and multifactorial data. With regard to rehabilitation, the availability of effective and reliable solutions will increase the customization of rehabilitation plans to the specific needs of patients, improve hospital management, enable more accurate and precise planning of the duration of hospital stays and the necessary support, and provide useful elements for communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.

Institute For Biomedicine Eurac Research
Institute for Biomedicine @Eurac Research. Our starting point is always the individual and their unique characteristics, then comes the laboratory and finally we go back to people: this is how our research work is undertaken. We study how genetic heritage, the environments in which we live and our lifestyles affect the appearance and development of diseases as well as how these factors influence our health. Our transdisciplinary research teams investigate the factors that influence the most pressing health issues in society, with the aim of developing products, services or solutions to protect health, and prevent disease, or offer new treatments in a precisely targeted manner. With researchers from over 14 different countries, we work locally to foster biomedical research in the region and through this create a healthier and more prosperous society. We also collaborate in scientific consortia with partners from all over the world. A unique aspect of our work, and a resource that brings us closer to home, is the data and biological material sourced from more than participants in a long-term population study that the Institute itself has been conducting in South Tyrol for more than ten years in cooperation with the South Tyrolean Healthcare Service (Azienda Sanitaria dell'Alto Adige). The study participants regularly undergo a wide variety of screenings which provide our research teams with data on the health status of the cardiovascular, nervous and metabolic systems, disease history and lifestyle, as well as molecular data such as genomics and metabolomics. In our work, we make the best use of the data and samples stored in our biobanks, progressing over the entire translational research cycle from definition of the medical problem, through data analysis and biomolecular, cellular, biostatistical and bioinformatic investigations to the eventual development of new approaches to disease prevention and therapy.

SIMEPSI is a multidisciplinary organization made up of doctors, therapists, researchers, and humanists, with the goal of generating a rigorous and well-articulated, evidence-based discourse aimed at supporting the advancement of the knowledge and therapeutic applications of psychedelics. The rapid evolution of psychedelic research in the medical field is opening up new scenarios within the clinical landscape. Our objective is to be an active part in developing Psychedelic Medicine in Italy. We aim to raise awareness about the benefits and potential risks of these methodologies, providing scientifically valid recommendations, and participating as an interface in the process of regulation and implementation of psychedelic based therapies in our country.

La mission del gruppo è tripartita: 1 ) occuparsi degli aspetti che riguardano la SICUREZZA, intesa come la condizione risultante dall’inserimento e mantenimento di misure per la promozione del benessere dei cittadini e della democratica vitalità delle istituzioni 2) trattare il tema del TERRORISMO, inteso come minaccia duratura che deve essere prevenuta attraverso l’implementazione di misure appropriate 3) gestire le EMERGENZE per la realizzazione di buone pratiche utili sia ai cittadini che alle istituzioni SICUREZZA, TERRORISMO e gestione delle EMERGENZE sono considerati aspetti chiavi della Sicurezza ITSTIME is a research center of Department of Sociology of the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, Milan. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to develop and conduct research focused on security issues from different perspectives. ITSTIME addresses both theoretically and empirically the new challenges in the post 9/11 world. The missions of the project are threefold: 1) To address SECURITY, intended as a condition that results from the establishment and maintenance of protective measures able to promote citizens’ wellness and democratic vitality of the institutions 2) To deal with TERRORISM, as a long term threat that must be addressed through preventive and well-constructed measures 3) To manage EMERGENCIES in order to develop helpful practices both for citizens and institutions. Knowledge And Innovation
Knowledge and Innovation has, as its objective, that of contributing through its basic and applied research to the generation of new knowledge on contemporary societies and the transformations taking place within them. In doing so, it intends to promote an overall strengthening of social science capacities to interpret such processes of change, to understand how they are evolving over time, and to investigate available options and tools for their effective management. Knowledge and Innovation was established by a group of sociologists and social scientists, who wanted to capitalise on their common research program on the evolution and governance of the society begun in the late 1970s. The activities of Knowledge and Innovation are carried out in Italy, in Europe and at the international level, adopting an interdisciplinary approach that includes all levels of social research: epistemological, theoretical and methodological. Knowledge and Innovation is also engaged in realms connected to research such as training and capacity building, networking and scientific communication, evaluation and technical assistance, consultancy and support to the implementation of public policies.
