ResultsinHealth is a public health advisory agency, which works to improve the health of populations and which mission is to strengthen effective disease prevention and access to health care. ResultsinHealth focuses on the challenges that affect the health of societies. Among them are Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights; Maternal, Newborn and Child Health; Communicable Diseases; Non-Communicable Diseases and Supply Chain Management of health commodities. In these areas ResultsinHealth works to develop new and innovative approaches. ResultsinHealth's work is guided by three principles of action: evidence-based, innovative and practice-oriented. Combining a practical and cost-effective approach with in-depth technical know-how, ResultsinHealth represents a new way of working in international health that is characterised by high-quality standards, specialized expertise, transparency and flexibility. ResultsinHealth is also known for its expert services in Monitoring and Evaluation, by employing quantitative and qualitative techniques, including the use of mixed methods. How will our large industries ever go green? How do these polluting businesses manage to use renewable energy to power their 24/7 operations? The answer is here: Iron-Based Hydrogen Storage. When iron-oxide is reacted with hydrogen, it is reduced into iron, which can be stored and transported more safe and compact then hydrogen in it's own form. If the iron is brought into contact with steam, it is oxidized back to iron-oxide, releasing hydrogen in the process. By using the cyclic storage of energy in iron, we make sure that hydrogen can reach it's full potential in the future energy balance. We are SOLID, a student team at Eindhoven University of Technology, working on the novel method of the cyclic storage of the energy of hydrogen in iron.

De Academische Werkplaats Ouderenzorg Limburg is een samenwerkingsverband tussen de Universiteit Maastricht, 9 zorgorganisaties (Cicero Zorggroep, Envida, Land van Horne, MeanderGroep, Proteion, Sevagram, Vivantes, de Zorggroep en Zuyderland), Zuyd Hogeschool, Vista College en Gilde Zorgcollege. In de werkplaats draait het om het verbeteren van • de kwaliteit van leven van ouderen; • de kwaliteit van zorg voor ouderen en • de kwaliteit van werk voor iedereen die in de ouderenzorg werkt Hierin werken zorgverleners (zoals verpleegkundigen, verzorgenden, artsen, psychologen, fysio- en ergotherapeuten), beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, studenten en ouderen zelf samen en wisselen kennis en ervaring uit. Daarnaast worden vernieuwingen in de dagelijkse zorg getoetst en geëvalueerd. Praktijk, beleid, onderzoek en onderwijs gaan hierbij hand in hand. The Living Lab in Ageing and Long-Term Care is a formal and structural multidisciplinary network consisting of Maastricht University, nine long-term care organizations (Cicero Zorggroep, Envida, Land van Horne, MeanderGroep Zuid-Limburg, Proteion, Sevagram, Vivantes, de Zorggroep and Zuyderland), Vista College, Gilde Intermediate Vocational Training Institute and Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, all located in the southern part of the Netherlands. In the Living Lab we aim to improve quality of care and life for older people and quality of work for staff employed in long-term care via a structural multidisciplinary collaboration between research, policy, education and practice. Practitioners (such as nurses, physicians, psychologists, physio- and occupational therapists), work together with managers, researchers, students, teachers and older people themselves to develop and test innovations in long-term care.

Amsterdam Scientific Instruments (ASI) was founded in 2011 with the mission to empower the global scientific community with sophisticated Medipix/Timepix based hybrid-pixel detectors. Enabling researchers worldwide to accelerate and extend the limits of their research and make breakthrough discoveries regarding the functional dynamics and properties of X-rays, photons, electrons, neutrons and ions. ASI’s detectors’ attributes including single particle sensitivity, noiseless detection, event-based time stamping, wide dynamic range, and ultra-fast frame rates generate sensitive and accurate measurements of high-energy particles. ASI’s detectors’ are suitable for a broad range of analytical imaging techniques in fundamental physics, materials science, and life science research. The detectors’ primary applications include diffraction-based electron microscopy (e.g. EBSD, MicroED, Single Particle Analysis and 4D STEM), time-resolved microscopy (e.g. EELS, Molecular Imaging), and reaction microscopy (e.g. VMI, PEPICO, TOF-PEEM). Amsterdam Neuroscience is the research institute for neuroscience of Amsterdam UMC and the science faculties of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam. Researchers and clinicians from these three institutions join forces in the field of fundamental, translational and clinical brain research. This collaboration strengthens the scientific excellence in this area, making Amsterdam Neuroscience one of the largest neuroscience communities in Europe. To enable translational neuroscience research, we develop and translate neuroscience knowledge into applications for patients. Amsterdam Neuroscience focuses on scientific excellence, young talent and innovation in four cross-disciplinary research programs. In addition, there are five clinical research programs that focus on both existing and new treatments for a number of brain and nervous system diseases, including neurological, neurovascular and psychiatric disorders. Amsterdam Neuroscience’s overall mission is to broaden the fundamental knowledge of the human brain and nervous system, and to translate this into effective therapies and treatments for the individual patient.

Gezondheidsraad
De Gezondheidsraad is een onafhankelijk wetenschappelijk adviesorgaan voor regering en parlement. De Gezondheidsraad werd in 1902 ingesteld bij Gezondheidswet en is nu een adviescollege zoals bedoeld in de Kaderwet adviescolleges. De raad brengt op basis van de stand van wetenschap – gevraagd en ongevraagd – advies uit aan regering en parlement over kwesties binnen het hele spectrum van de volksgezondheid: van gezondheidszorg, preventie en voeding tot leefomgeving en arbeidsomstandigheden. De raad heeft een voorzitter, een vicevoorzitter en zo'n honderd bij KB benoemde leden. Per adviesonderwerp wordt er een commissie samengesteld van deskundigen, en ook leden, die speciaal worden geselecteerd voor de beantwoording van de adviesvraag. Leden en commissieleden ontvangen per vergadering een vergoeding (vacatiegeld), zij hebben geen zgn. vaste of tijdelijke aanstelling. Het Waterlaboratorium is een zelfstandig opererend semipubliek bedrijf met drie sterke aandeelhouders: Dunea Duin en Water, PWN Waterleidingbedrijf Noord-Holland en Waternet Amsterdam. Deze drie drinkwaterbedrijven in Zuid- en Noord-Holland zijn ook onze grootste klanten. Van daaruit helpen wij organisaties in de watersector waarbij we een open oog hebben voor maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen en uitdagingen. Wij bewaken de drinkwaterkwaliteit, optimaliseren zuiveringssystemen, helpen problemen in de watercyclus vroegtijdig aan te pakken en ondersteunen bij het afgeven van lozingsvergunningen. Voor de (drink)waterkwaliteit verzorgen wij de hele keten: vanaf het bemonsteren van bronnen met behulp van een uitgebreid instrumentarium, het uitvoeren van geavanceerde analyses én het verstrekken van een uitgebreide interpretatie daarvan en een doortimmerd advies gericht op uw situatie.
