DTL develops as a collaborative platform of science and technology research groups in the Dutch clinical & health, nutrition, agrogenomics and industrial microbiology sectors. DTL is established as a partnership of universities, university medical centers, research institutes, companies, ‘topsectoren’ and science funders, all with a primary basis in the Netherlands, but is open to relationships with international parties. Ete - Elastomer Technology And Engineering
The chair of Elastomer Technology and Engineering (ETE) is part of the department of Mechanics of Solid, Surfaces and Systems (MS3) at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Its roots reach back to the early eighties, was established by Prof. Dr. J. Noordermeer and since 2013, Prof. Dr. Anke Blume has been appointed as head of the group. Currently, ETE consists of approximately 30 members including staff, Postdocs, Master, PhD and PDEng students of 14 different nationalities. The ETE research focuses on rubber material development with an emphasis on filler and tire tread technology, silica/silane filled natural rubber compounds, recycling and sustainability. One of the strengths of ETE is the wide cooperation with industrial partners, universities and research institutes all over the world. With its experience, broad network and knowledge the ETE group is established as one of the biggest rubber research groups worldwide.

Lectoraat Kunststoftechnologie
Het lectoraat Kunststoftechnologie (LKT) is onderdeel van het Kenniscentrum Techniek van de Hogeschool Windesheim. Het onderzoek van het lectoraat richt zich op de verduurzaming en innovatie van kunststoffen, composiet- en aanverwante industrieën waarbij de ontwikkelde kennis terugvloeit in het onderwijs en naar de bedrijven. Duurzaamheid en mens- en milieugericht denken staan hierbij centraal. Onderzoeksthema's zijn hybride ontwerp, duurzaam produceren, 3D printing en circulaire economie. Van fossiele kunststoffen naar biobased, van verbranden naar (chemisch) recyclen of hergebruik van thermoharde composieten. No time to waste! Want hoe kunnen we met innovaties in de kunststofindustrie écht impact maken? Het doel van het lectoraat is om de kennis van duurzaam verwerken van kunststoffen en composieten te bevorderen in het hoger beroepsonderwijs door middel van onderzoek. Hiermee wordt de kenniskloof tussen het bedrijfsleven en het onderwijs overbrugd waardoor goed opgeleide technici beschikbaar komen voor de kunststofindustrie. Het lectoraat neemt hiermee in Nederland een unieke positie in: het speelt in op de vraag van de (kunststof)industrie naar goed opgeleide technici. De industrie is hard op zoek naar de engineers en chemisch technologen die begrijpen hoe kunststoffen en thermoharde composieten zich gedragen en in staat zijn een ketenaanpak te realiseren in de circulaire economie. Het bedrijfsleven wordt dan ook als maatschappelijke partner direct betrokken bij het onderwijs- en onderzoeksprogramma van het lectoraat.
