Transforming lung care with AI-driven diagnostic. AI4LUNGS is a three-and-a-half-year European research and innovation project with the primary objective of creating and validating AI tools and computational models to improve patient stratification, ultimately optimizing the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases - Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILDs), Infectious Diseases and cancer. It aims to support physicians in their decision-making during the diagnosis and treatment processes, streamlining and digitalising procedures, potentially saving time, and reducing the need for numerous examinations compared to traditional approaches. The feasibility and efficiency of the developed solutions will be evaluated in 2 pilots. We are an archaeological project based in the Alentejo region of Portugal investigating the prehistoric settlement of Castelo Velho da Serra d’Ossa. We run a month-long archaeological field school each summer, providing students from all over the world an opportunity to learn about the Iberian Peninsula’s archaeology and later prehistory in addition to its more recent history, culture, and day-to-day life in the Alentejo.

The Aurora system at iMed.ULisboa consists of the Cytek® Aurora full spectrum flow cytometer and a computer workstation running SpectroFlo® software for sample acquisition and data analysis. This spectral flow cytometry system allows unique fluorochrome combinations in comparison to conventional flow cytometry and enables analysis of cells with high autofluorescence. An independent workstation for analysis of flow cytometry data is available upon booking, where SpectroFlo®, FCS ExpressTM 7 and FlowJoTM software can be used. Technical support ranging from advice in experimental design to data analysis can be requested. Available for iMed.ULisboa and external researchers.
