Human Knowledge Research And Development Institute

We operate on two main directions: research and development. The research section aims to provide the theoretical bases and support and continue the development of algebraic fractals, fractal varieties, coherent space information and lateral automation, fields refined by HKRDI members. The derived concepts and principles have applicability in multiple knowledge fields, with the ability of being used as instruments that promote sustainable development. The development section looks at direct applicability of the theory in creating programs with high social impact: professional networks, crisis management, education and health.

Systems Biology Of Aging Group

The Systems Biology of Aging Group was founded by Dr. Robi Tacutu in 2016 and is part of the Department of Bioinformatics and Structural Biochemistry at the Institute of Biochemistry of the Romanian Academy. We are currently funded by a recently awarded EUR 2 million EU grant, for the project “Multi-omics Prediction System for Prioritization of Gerontological Interventions”, and our main areas of interest include biogerontology, systems biology, and bioinformatics. With a highly multi-disciplinary team, our projects include both computational aspects (data aggregation and processing, multidimensional data analysis, network-based methods, systems theory approaches, deep learning, etc.) as well as wet-lab experiments (in particular in-vivo testing of the computationally predicted interventions). DANUBIUS-RI will be the International Centre for Advanced Studies on River-Sea Systems. We were accepted on the ESFRI Roadmap in 2016 and are on course to becoming an ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium), supporting interdisciplinary research on large river-sea systems. Surface waters have a key role in global biogeochemical cycles, food and energy production, and societal wellbeing. They face pressures from natural and anthropogenic driven environmental perturbations at local and global scales. DANUBIUS-RI will provide access to a range of European river-sea systems, facilities and expertise; a ‘one-stop shop’ for knowledge exchange in managing river-sea systems; access to harmonised data; and a platform for interdisciplinary research, inspiration, education and training.
