Institute For Information Industry
Where We Started In the early 1970s, Taiwan faced crucial challenges arising from global energy crisis and trade protectionism implemented by industrial countries. It thus became top priority of the government to come up with policies on industrial and economic development so as to transform the traditional industrial model into the technology-intensive industrial model and to increase Taiwan’s competitiveness. On 17th May 1979, Executive Yuan passed the “Proposal on Science and Technology Development” in its 1663 Grand Meeting, resolving to incorporate a non-governmental organization— “Institute for Information Industry” through the joint efforts of public and private sectors. Later on 24th July, with persistent efforts from past Senior Advisor to the Presidency, Mr. Kuo-Ting Li, was established so as to “promote effective application of information technology, increase national comprehensive competitiveness, create preconditions and environment for information industry to develop, and to strengthen the competitiveness of information industry.” In recent 40 years, has taken part in planning and promoting public policies related to information industry. It has contributed to the pioneer research and development in information and communication technology, the deepening and broadening of information applications, the training and education of talents in this field and the participation in building infrastructure for national information technology. achievements have been widely recognized. In recent years, following the rapid changes in the global environment, has modified its objectives and missions as follows: Objectives To increase innovative applications of ICT technology and to facilitate the development of digital economy. Positioning The Think Tank for Digital Country Development. The Organization for the Research and Development of Digital Economy, Industrialization, and Talent Cultivation. The Platform with National Level Resources Associated with Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

China Reformed Theological Seminary
China is the most populous country in the world, and over one in six people are Chinese. By the grace of God, we have seen in our day a tremendous growth of the Chinese Church both in China and among overseas Chinese Students. The reformed tradition is essential in laying down a solid theological foundation for this growing Chinese church. But, unfortunately, to date it has not flourished among the Chinese. For the Chinese Reformed Church to flourish, there must be Chinese Reformed seminaries. Churches and seminaries must grow together. By the grace of God we have a start towards building a Chinese Reformed seminary in Taiwan. Our vision is that this seminary will lead to reforming of existing churches and the planting of new ones, which in turn will lead to growth of the seminary and new reformed seminaries. Our hope and prayer is to establish a focal point for the Chinese Reformed Church from which other focal points can grow.

National Center For Theoretical Sciences
The National Center for Theoretical Sciences (NCTS) was established on August 1, 1997 by the National Science Council (NSC). The community of theoretical sciences in Taiwan has benefited considerably from NCTS. Starting from January of the year 2004, the NSC decided to expand the NCTS into three parts: keep the one in Hsinchu and add two offices in Taipei and Southern Taiwan. For the two new offices, the Taipei Office (NCTS) is organized by National Taiwan University while the Southern Taiwan Office if jointly organized by National Cheng-Kung University and National Sun Yat-sen University. The objectives of the NCTS are four-fold. The Center aims to be an international center of excellence in theoretical sciences. The Center aims to serve all the theoretical scientists in Taiwan. The Center aims to train talented students and provide a pleasant environment for young researchers to establish themselves. The Center aims to promote interdisciplinary research among theoretical sciences and their applications. The core of NCTS consists of topical programs. The current programs include, but not restricted to, algebraic geometry, arithmetic geometry and number theory, differential geometry, partial differential equations, representation theory, discrete mathematics, applied mathematics. These groups are led by program organizers. To realize the above objectives, NCTS host visiting scholars, short-term or long-term and also NCTS provides several positions of NCTS Scholars, Center Scientists, Post-Doc Fellows and Research Assistants. Proposals for programs are welcome as well.
