We have worked with major partners in Defence, Health and Education to design, deliver and deploy digital training systems. ATS specialises in developing scalable training interventions that incorporate the inner world (attention, memory and emotions) of trainees into the training process. This type of training solution is particularly beneficial for situations that are time critical, high risk and / or expensive. Learning a task in a classroom is not the same as performing the task in the real world under real circumstances. By building the inner world into the training process, we believe that trainees are much more prepared to perform at their best, when it matters most.

Electronics Industry Development Adelaide Incorporated
Concept A meeting of industry representatives on 29 April 2015 discussed the need to develop and promote our industry and elected a Steering Committee to research and report on the structure and scope of a proposed new body to develop and promote our industry. The Steering Committee: David Green, Ronald Grill, Donald Kay and Clive Pay reported to a second meeting on 25 June and recommended the establishment of a new organisation to focus specifically on the development, promotion and representation of the Adelaide Electronics Industry. The meeting agreed unanimously that the Steering Committee proceed to establish the new body. Formation The Constitution has now been developed and approved. The new entity “Electronics Industry Development Adelaide” (EIDA) now formally exists as an Incorporated Association. The purpose of EIDA, as described in the Constitution is “To develop and promote the electronics industry and profession in the region of Adelaide, South Australia.” The Steering Committee is now the initial EIDA Management Committee: Donald Kay (Chairman), Clive Pay (Secretary), David Green (Treasurer) and Ronald Grill (Public Officer) and will serve until the first AGM or earlier if a Special General Meeting of members is required.

Founded at Edith Cowan University in 2008, the Mine Water and Environment Research (MiWER) Centre is headed by Associate Professor Mark Lund. The research group has a focus on mine waters; particularly pit lakes formed from open-cut mining. National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility Nccarf
Leading the research community in a national interdisciplinary effort to generate the information needed by decision-makers in government and in vulnerable sectors and communities to manage the risks of climate change impacts. The key roles of NCCARF include: — developing National Adaptation Research Plans to identify critical gaps in the information available to decision-makers — synthesising existing and emerging national and international research on climate change impacts and adaptation and developing targeted communication products — undertaking a program of integrative research to address national priorities, and — establishing and maintaining adaptation research networks to link together key researchers and assist them in focussing on national research priorities. The work of the NCCARF complements activities and projects currently underway in other institutions across Australia. NCCARF is distinct from these programs in that it focuses entirely on generating the knowledge required for Australia to adapt to the physical impacts of climate change.
