BIC Brno je podnikatelské a inovační centrum, které vzniklo v roce 1991 jako součást evropské sítě podnikatelských a inovačních center EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network), jejímž cílem je podpora inovací a jejich zavádění do praxe. Za dobu své existence jsme navázali spolupráci s více než 500 inovativními firmami a řadou vědeckých pracovišť a výzkumných institucích v ČR i zahraničí. Svou činností a aktivitami v oblasti „Transferu technologií“ vytváříme spojovací můstek mezi výzkumnými institucemi a průmyslovými podniky a podporujeme tím přenos inovací do praxe. Soustavně se také věnujeme výzkumu celého procesu přenosu výsledků VaV do praxe, čímž se snažíme o zvyšování konkurenceschopnosti českých podniků a výzkumných pracovišť. Hlavní činností BIC Brno je aktivní podpora firem, které se zabývají výzkumem, vývojem a inovacemi. Těm nabízíme poradenství, spolupráci v oblasti financování, speciálního vzdělávání či transferu technologií. Pomáháme jim ve vyhledávání partnerů pro realizaci inovačních projektů a navázání spolupráce s vědeckými pracovišti na národní i mezinárodní úrovni.

The Czech Social Science Data Archive (CSDA) at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences accesses, processes, documents and stores data files from social science research projects and promotes their dissemination to make them widely available for secondary use in academic research and for educational purposes. CSDA participates in international networks of data organisations and it is the Service Provider for the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA). The major objective for CESSDA is to provide seamless access to data across repositories, nations, languages and research purposes. Fakulta rybářství a ochrany vod je, co do počtu studentů, nejmenší a zároveň nejmladší součástí Jihočeské univerzity v Českých Budějovicích. The mission of Research Centre Řež is to excel in research, development and innovations for power generation industry, in particular the nuclear power generation. VŠÚO v rámci „Národního programu konzervace a využití genofondu rostlin v ČR“ dlouhodobě uchovává a každoročně hodnotí v polních kolekcích genetických zdrojů více než 2300 odrůd významných ovocných druhů mírného klimatického pásma. Testuje duplicitní uchování pomocí biotechnologických metod v aktivně rostoucích in vitro kulturách a regeneraci po kryoprezervaci v kapalném dusíku. Již téměř sedmdesát let probíhá šlechtitelská činnost, která se v současnosti zaměřuje na třešně, jabloně, slivoně a meruňky. Společně se šlechtěním pak dochází k introdukci a testování perspektivních odrůd ze zahraničí k zabezpečení šlechtitelských programů vhodnými genotypy s cennými vlastnostmi.

The Czech Association of Doctoral Researchers (ČAD) is a registered association (official Czech name: Česká asociace doktorandek a doctorandů, z. s.) that brings together doctoral researchers in the Czech Republic. The aim of the association is to improve the quality and conditions of doctoral studies in the Czech Republic, to create a space for sharing experiences within and across disciplines, to increase doctoral researchers’ awareness of study and professional opportunities and to help to improve their own professional skills. ČAD is a non-profit organization and all its activities are based on the voluntary cooperation and personal contribution of its members and other collaborators. Membership is free and open to all those enrolled in doctoral studies in the Czech Republic, regardless of their research focus, form of study, or citizenship/nationality. ČAD strives to achieve its goal through activities in three main areas: 1. raising of the topic of the importance of doctoral studies at the political level and in public discourse, communication with the bodies shaping the conception of doctoral studies, with higher education institutions 2. awareness-raising activities of sharing good practice and warnings about problems and bad habits in doctoral studies across the Czech Republic 3. providing individual consultations when dealing with problems related to doctoral studies. In cooperation with its members, ČAD published two guidebooks: Guide for those considering PhD studies (2017, 2020) and the Guide for new doctoral researchers (2021). Both documents are so far available only in Czech.
