Max Planck Graduate Center For Quantum Materials
The term “quantum materials” refers to a rapidly evolving research frontier that aims to understand, control, and ultimately design materials in which quantum physics enables novel functionalities. Recent developments include the discovery of novel phenomena resulting from the topology of the electron wavefunction in solids, the dynamical control of many-electron states (such as superconductivity) by coherent light fields, and the synthesis of heterostructures and devices comprising atomically sharp interfaces of quantum materials exhibiting diverse electronic ground states. All seven Max Planck Institutes participating in the Graduate Center are world-leading institutions in their respective fields, and they operate highly attractive Ph.D. programs in cooperation with universities both in Germany and abroad. Within the Graduate Center for Quantum Materials, these institutes will join forces and further enhance their strong collaboration in research and training of outstanding young scientists. Minor Projektkontor Für Bildung Und Forschung
Minor wird von einem interdisziplinären und interkulturellen Team getragen. Vielfältig, engagiert und wissenschaftlich fundiert arbeiten wir mit und für gesellschaftlich marginalisierte Gruppen. Wir sind bundesweit und transnational aktiv in der Forschung, Programm- und Projektberatung, Weiterbildung, Netzwerkarbeit und Modellprojektentwicklung. Thematisch decken wir ein breites Spektrum gesellschaftlicher und wissenschaftlicher Fragestellungen ab, das u. a. viele Aspekte der Migration, der Förderung von Demokratie und gesellschaftlichem Zusammenhalt sowie der Integration und Inklusion in Bildung und Arbeit umfasst. Zielsetzung ist zum einen, die Situation von in der Gesellschaft und auf dem Arbeitsmarkt diskriminierten oder benachteiligten Gruppen wie z. B. Migrantinnen und Migranten, Sozial Benachteiligten, Inhaftierten und Menschen mit Behinderungen zu verbessern. Zum anderen richten sich unsere Aktivitäten aber auch darauf, gesellschaftliche Prozesse und Strukturen so zu verändern, dass ein tolerantes und wertschätzendes Zusammenleben in Deutschland und Europa gefördert und Konflikten entgegengewirkt wird. Schwerpunkte der Forschung bei Minor sind v. a. die Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen Migrationsprozessen, aber auch Beiträge zu Entwicklungen in den Themengebieten Radikalisierungsprävention, Medienpädagogik, aufsuchende Beratung in sozialen Medien sowie berufliche Bildung. Schwerpunkte unserer Projekte im Bildungsbereich sind die Verknüpfung von pädagogischen, interkulturellen und intergenerationellen Ansätzen und die Stärkung der Partizipation und Teilhabe marginalisierter Zielgruppen. Minor ist anerkannter Träger der politischen Bildung. Wir verstehen Minor als zivilgesellschaftlichen Akteur, dessen Ziele u. a. darin bestehen, an einem Ausbau und einer Stärkung der Demokratie mitzuwirken. gesellschaftliche Teilhabe, Partizipation und Gestaltung demokratischer Kultur nachhaltig zu fördern.

Rudolf Virchow Center Of University Of Würzburg
The Center derives its name from the eminent 19th century German pathologist Rudolf Virchow, who was the first to map the causes of diseases at the level of individual cells. Scientists at the Rudolf Virchow Center focus on so-called target proteins, central regulatory biomolecules derived from diverse cell types with a causal connection to human health. About 100 scientists work at the Rudolf Virchow Center in the field of target proteins. Structural biology, molecular microscopy, proteomics and mass spectrometry are just some of the key technologies established in our research groups. We offer a modern and international working environment on the Medical Campus (University Hospital Würzburg) in Germany. The Center is integrated into a stimulating research environment that includes the Biocenter, the Research Center for Infectious Diseases, the University Hospital, the Max Planck Research Group in Systems Immunology, and the Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research among others. All doctoral candidates are supervised by the University of Würzburg's Graduate School of Life Sciences in order to guarantee a high standard of quality in their doctoral studies.

Else Kröner Fresenius Center For Digital Health
The Else Kröner Fresenius Center (EKFZ) for Digital Health, is a joint cross-faculty initiative of the Technische Universität Dresden, the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden along with several partners on the Dresden campus. Whereas conventionally the Schools of Medicine and Engineering work and research independently, the EKFZ bundles their expertise and brings Medicine and High Tech together through its interdisciplinary structure and network. Driven by a clear medical need and with direct access to the medical infrastructure, the EKFZ accelerates digitization in medicine for the benefit of the patient. The EKFZ channels its research effort on the direct interface of the digital world to the patient thereby serving as a bridge between medical big data efforts and traditional biomedical engineering. We do research in various fields of digital health such as robotics, implants, sensors, medical devices and connected care and are always looking for new and exciting ideas and concepts! Our focus is on providing strategic development areas, strengthened by specific professorships, which deepen the scientific infrastructure and theoretical basics. The Automotive Research Centre Niedersachsen (Niedersächsisches Forschungszentrum Fahrzeugtechnik, NFF) is a scientific centre of the TU Braunschweig and was founded in December 2007 to establish the Braunschweig research region in association with the NFF member universities, TU Clausthal and LU Hannover, as a top location in vehicle and transport research with international visibility. The NFF is one of the largest and most modern centres for mobility research at any German university. Projects and topics are aligned to the vision „Sustainable Mobility“ - in five scientific research fields: » Intelligent Vehicle and Connected Driving » Low-emission vehicle » Flexible vehicle concepts and vehicle production » Mobility management and logistics » Electromobility The implementation of the research vision requires a broad and structurally anchored interdisciplinary collaboration between both the natural and engineering sciences, so as to arrive at a holistic approach and solution. Research is conducted in the spectrum of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, chemistry, psychology, civil engineering and economics. Currently, the NFF has 45 members, who are not only from institutes of the universities of Braunschweig, Hannover and Clausthal, but also from other research institutions in the region (including DLR, Ostfalia, Wolfsburg AG). The NFF is also part of the core research area “mobility” from the TU Braunschweig and contributes its expertise to topics such as intelligent and networked mobility, low-emission vehicles with non-fossil energy sources and sustainable production.

It is designed for professionals in real estate, project planning, and management who aim to integrate sustainability and address the challenges of diverse urban contexts. At its core, the program explores how sustainability can be implemented across the built environment by balancing technological, economic, environmental, and social dimensions in planning and management. Students develop a comprehensive understanding of how buildings and urban systems contribute to global sustainability goals and how these can be achieved through innovation, governance, and responsible leadership. The curriculum combines engineering and building science fundamentals with business management, law, and policy, offering the tools needed to plan, evaluate, and manage complex projects across the entire building life cycle. Topics such as digitalization, renewable integration, energy efficiency, circular economy, and urban resilience are integrated throughout the program.
