Eriksholm Research Centre is part of Oticon, a world-leader in hearing care. We are committed to making audiological discoveries with the potential to significantly enhance end-user benefits in future hearing care. This is realised through close collaborations with the world leading academic research institutitions. By bringing experts together, we are able to create mutually-beneficial research synergies and open up new lines of inquiry in the broader research community. By engaging in continuous dialogue with a large number of people living with hearing loss and the care professionals dedicated to helping them, we are able to maintain a deep understanding of the real-life implications of hearing loss, and gauge the impact of our ideas with real people in their everyday lives. The result is a multi-disciplinary staff able to identify and demonstrate new opportunities within audiology, signal processing and behavioural science. This lays the foundation for Oticon to further develop audiological concepts and apply them in hearing solutions that empower people with hearing loss to communicate freely, interact naturally and participate actively. As active members of the international scientific community, our results are published regularly.

Afdeling For Konservering Og Naturvidenskab - Moesgaard Museum
Moesgaard Museums Afdeling for Konservering og Naturvidenskab har eksisteret i sin nuværende form siden 2003. Den varetager et bredt spektrum af opgaver og har et tæt samarbejde med arkæologer og etnografer på museet og med Aarhus Universitet. Afdelingen udfører desuden en lang række opgaver for andre museer i både ind- og udland. Afdelingens ansatte har baggrund i arkæologi og naturvidenskab, på konservatorskolen, i keramisk formgivning og som møbelsnedker. Trods forskellige indgangsvinkler til faget har vi det tilfælles, at vi søger at opnå en mere detaljeret viden om det forhistoriske menneske og de forhistoriske og etnografiske kulturers materielle udtryk. Afdelingens arbejde kan opdeles i tre områder: Konservering, naturvidenskab og arkæologisk IT.

Reprounion
Reproductive challenges currently affect 16-25% of all couples in the Nordics. Every 5th man never becomes a father, and every 10th woman has no or fewer children than she had hoped for. Infertility has been recognized as a disease by the WHO, but despite revolutionary developments in the techniques for assisted reproduction, the success rate per treatment, is still below 30%. ReproUnion is a cross-border collaboration between Sweden and Denmark within the area of reproductive medicine in the Øresund Region. During 15 years, the ReproUnion partnership has been collaborating across disciplines between academia, hospitals, and industry with more than 50 professors and researches involved. Our aim is to understand the underlying reasons of infertility and to personalise and improve reproductive treatment. To do so, ReproUnion is building an innovation platform to help the industry gain access to cutting-edge expertise and research infrastructure. This entrepreneurial setting is also inspiring the utilization of public research in patents and future spin-outs. The core of the Innovation platform is the ReproUnion Biobank & Infertility Cohort (RUBIC) and other testbed facilities that can be used to streamline commercialization pathways with the ultimate goal of creating tangible benefits for patients. This includes resources that can be used to develop, test, and validate novel solutions within reproductive health area. Public-private partnerships like ReproUnion are an important part of the solution to the challenges facing our healthcare systems. It´s about innovation and growth, but first and foremost it´s about putting patients´ needs first! ReproUnion is funded by EU Interreg Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak, the Capital Region of Denmark, Region Skåne and Ferring Pharmaceuticals.
