Center for Viden om Erhvervsuddannelser (CEVEU) er et center, der bedriver forskning i og med erhvervsuddannelserne. CEVEU er et konsortium bestående af Københavns Professionshøjskole og Institut for Kultur og Læring / Center for Ungdomsforskning på Aalborg Universitet. Desuden indgår Århus Universitet og Tænketanken DEA i samarbejdet. CEVEU udgør en ramme for samarbejde mellem forskere inden for erhvervsuddannelserne, med det fælles formål at styrke viden om uddannelserne og sikre, at den kan anvendes i praksis til udvikling af uddannelserne.

We focus on physics areas of fundamental interest and with clear application and innovation potentials. Our areas of strength include quantum technology, catalysis research, sustainable energy, and materials science. It is our ambition to perform research, innovation and offer education at a high international level, thereby contributing to DTU’s mission of bringing value to society. DTU Physics has the main responsibility for the Engineering Physics BSc education (Danish: Fysik og Ingeniørvidenskab) and for the introductory physics course for the majority of DTU’s students, giving students a solid scientific foundation along with experimental skills useful for their studies at DTU. Corc - The Novo Nordisk Foundation Co Research Center
The Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center – CORC – is the world’s first interdisciplinary research center aimed at developing novel knowledge and technology that can be used to capture and recycle carbon dioxide (CO2) to replace fossil carbon and fossil fuel‐intensive processes with sustainable, CO2‐based technologies. CORC is based at Aarhus University and has a mission‐oriented focus, that will pursue distinctively collaborative approaches between the chemical and life sciences. The center will connect university‐based research with open‐science platforms for innovation with industry partners that works to develop new science and early technology platforms for mitigating CO2‐based climate change at scale. The activities will focus on the full value chain and bringing together world‐leading research in capture technologies, chemical CO2 conversion, and life sciences CO2 conversion. Thereby, the center will strengthen Danish industry competitiveness and enhance the impact of the science developed.

Hydrogeophysics Group, Geoscience, Aarhus University
The Hydro-Geophysics Group (HGG) does research on the highest level with the overall aim to develop methods for knowledge-based mapping and modelling of water resources for the benefit of society. HGG combines geophysical instrument development with advanced data processing and inversion algorithms and hydrological modelling. The key geophysical methods are airborne and ground-based transient electromagnetic (TEM), induced polarization and DC and nuclear magnetic resonance sounding. TEM systems like SkyTEM, tTEM and WalkTEM and the Apsu NMR system are examples of system originating from the research carried out by the group. Also, software’s like Aarhus Workbench and AarhusInv are products of years of development. The group works with projects in Denmark and worldwide which is expressed in a large number of publications on the applicability of the geophysical methods for groundwater resource mapping, geotechnical applications and geological mapping. The group is highly international with students and scientists from all over the world. In addition, the group often has one or more guest professors and guest students from various countries. The group has fostered several spin-off companies from Aarhus University. The largest one is SkyTEM Surveys Aps which today is one of the major players within airborne electromagnetic. The latest company is Aarhus Geosoftware Aps who commercializes and further develops some of the software originating from HGG.

WATEC is an interdisciplinary research centre focusing on developing solutions to local and global ‘Grand Challenges’. Water is essential for life on Earth and is used for nutrient and waste transport and in heat regulation. As it contains nutrients and wastes, water may be associated with eutrophication or loss of valuable nutrients. Water can be in excess or in deficiency – both situations cause trouble. WATEC works with municipal wastewater treatment, process control as well as with surface and ground water management and is also engaged in restoration of lakes, streams and riparian zones.
