Nirakara Lab

Since its foundation in 2009, Nirakara has provided training programs in universities, interventions for different groups, clinical interventions in hospitals, workshops for professionals, in-company interventions with a student base of more than people. The main activity is carried out in the facilities of the Somosaguas Campus of the Complutense University in Madrid. It has or has had collaboration agreements with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Brown University (Providence, USA), Stanford University (California, USA), and the University of Massachusetts (USA). We also develop postgraduate and doctoral programs at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in the field of Mindfulness in clinical and health contexts and Research. We help companies to better understand "their intangible layers": the state of motivation and health of each individual in the organization and the interaction between them. Using our own methodologies, we model the behavior of the organizational ecosystem to detect possible strengths and weaknesses. We teach companies and institutions on how to measure the impact of interventions and training on strategic variables in order to promote the efficiency of investment in Training. We are passionate about R&D! Create a research project incubator at the UCM: Chair of Cognitive Sciences with the aim of promoting research activity. We focus on the study of the neurological bases of well-being and the development of high abilities. We also study, normally with controlled and randomized trials, the impact of psycho-pedagogical or clinical interventions on neurological (EEG, MEG), psychological and other biomarkers. The progress of companies and institutions - and our future - is supported by that "black box" that has not yet been sufficiently explored, which represents the capacities and influences of the human beings that make them up.

Ucm Research Group On Agent-Based Social And Interdisciplinary Applications Ucm-Grasia

The Grasia! research group of the Universidad Complutense Madrid (UCM) considers agent technology from a multi-disciplinary perspective, joining experts from the fields of Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Sociology. It promotes applied research by considering the agent paradigm as a key element for building distributed intelligent applications and for the analysis of complex systems. The research is structured along three main lines:* Agent oriented software engineering. This intends to support developers on building applications as multi-agent systems. The main results are the INGENIAS methodology and the INGENIAS Development Kit (IDK) toolset, which have been applied in a variety of applications (intelligent interfaces, business process management, web site personalization, resource planning and monitoring, ubiquitous computing and ambience intelligence).* Information Retrieval. Multi-agent systems can assist users to manage information on the web in a personalized way. We are specially involved in tools for technology watch.* Social simulation. Although there are powerful tools for agent based simulation of complex systems, they require good skills in programming. We try to leverage this difficulty by providing new tools for working with graphical models, which are adapted to concrete domains in Social Sciences.

The Research Institute for Innovation and Technology in Education (UNIR iTED) belongs to the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR). It focuses on Educational Technology, Learning Analytics and Open Science. Since 2012, the UNIR iTED team has implemented more than 40 european public projects, more than 30 international private and public projects abroad, has published more than 120 indexed research articles, 20 books and special issues, and provides supervision to more than 12 PhD students. The research projects carried out by UNIR iTED are designed to improve the effectiveness of educational processes, leading to practical implementations that improve the practice and efficiency of a range of end-users and system managers, including learners, teachers, content providers, industry, schools, universities and public administration. Uvigo Spacelab

We are a multidisciplinary team of university students committed to the design, manufacturing, and operation of small satellites within the University of Vigo. UVigo SpaceLab consists of engineering students from Vigo and Orense and provides them with hands-on experience in the aerospace field, developing space missions from concept to launch and the following operations. We have the support of our Faculty Advisors Prof. Fernando Aguado Agelet, Dr. Fermín Navarro Medina and Dr. Arno Formella, who have extensive experience in multiple cubesat projects and also having previously worked for many ESA programmes. We have been selected for participation in the European Space Agency Concurrent Engineering Workshop with our proposal: Open Little Luminary Observatory (OLLO).

Watergy

Watergy is a start up that focuses on bringing cutting-edge research progress to people. In particular, we are struggling to set up some demonstration pilot plants for arsenic decontamination through tertiary photocatalytic treatments that could be cost-competitive and more efficient and reliable than common ionic-exchange resin adsorption treatments. Our technology requires no spare parts, is easy to maintain, long lived, and reliable. We were awarded with an innovation prize by the European Commission in a talent's contest on December 2013. Other environmentally-related issues, such as hydrogen production, energy storage, and smart grid integration of renewables are also within our scope.

Esta situación es totalmente evitable, si en lugar de pensar en términos de separatividad, pensamos en términos de interconexión, considerándonos aspectos de la consciencia interconectados ( interser ) en un fluir constante de consciencia entre nosotros ( a dentro ) y la totalidad que nos rodea ( el afuera ) de la cual formamos parte y a la cual damos forma constantemente a través de una inteligencia creativa en forma de un orden implicado que nos permite desplegarlo en forma de un orden explicado, dando lugar a nuestra realidad. Es un proceso de retroalimentación constante sin principio ni final. Por lo tanto, podemos afirmar que todo esta conectado en un universo participativo.

IAQ affects health and will be analysed more closely due to COVID-19. The 3SqAir project (3SquAIRlity: Sustainable Smart Strategy for Air Quality Assurance in Classrooms) aims to improve the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) of tertiary buildings, within the framework of the Interreg Sudoe programme, which it is being funded by. To this end, it will develop a common strategy to ensure optimal IAQ in such buildings, especially in educational buildings, by implementing innovative, sustainable and intelligent solutions ranging from passive and active equipment, low-carbon technologies and automatic and manual actions, to changes in human behaviour. The IAQ improvement strategy not only focuses on technical aspects, but also includes social factors such as students' intellectual performance. Both approaches are essential and complementary for achieving improved air quality, energy efficiency, health and well-being. The project partners and collaborators are aware that the implementation of these actions requires transnational cooperation to evaluate the impact of the cultural, technical and legal aspects of the SUDOE space. The main outputs of the project, which will be achieved through a RIS3 strategy, will be a methodological framework for classrooms, awareness-raising campaigns, an online best practice platform and an open source and open hardware IoT platform. It also includes pilot cases at different educational levels, where an innovative methodology of building energy management systems will be implemented, allowing the selection and integration of air quality improvement solutions. During all activities, a community of experts will be created to ensure technological transfer and to create value for multiple key factors. The innovative aspect is the IoT solution, which will allow easier, cheaper replication and continuous updating, in contrast to commercial software.
