The Health Promotion Research Centre at the University of Galway (Ollscoil na Gaillimhe) produces high quality research of national and international significance that supports the development of best practice and policy in the promotion of health. The Centre is a World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Health Promotion Research, has an active multidisciplinary research programme, and collaborates with regional, national and international agencies on the development and evaluation of health promotion interventions and strategies. The Centre has a dynamic research team with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative approaches and employs a wide range of research methods, as appropriate to specific projects. There is a demonstrated commitment to the on-going methodological and theoretical development of health promotion and population health. The centre has a track record of success in securing competitive funding both nationally and internationally demonstrated by our sustained levels of research. An important aspect of our work is ensuring that our research activity and findings are disseminated through reports, peer review publications and conference presentations. Bantry Marine Research Station Ltd (BMRS) is a privately owned marine biotechnology company focused on delivery of marine bio-based products and processes. BMRS was incorporated in 2016 following a restructuring of Daithi O’Murchu Marine Research Station Ltd, prior to that it was operated by University College Cork’s Aquaculture and Fisheries Development Centre. The facility has demonstrated its research and project delivery capability over two decades. BMRS strategic intent is to become a leader in marine bio resource delivery. BMRS holds an aquaculture research licence a HPRA animal experimentation licence and seaweed farming licence, it operates a purpose-built research facility and aquaculture vessel. Infrastructure includes micro and macro algal laboratories, marine shellfish and fish hatchery, challenge trial units and dry laboratory facilities. It is ideally located on the shores of Bantry bay in the south west of Ireland.

Human Remains Services Ireland - Forensic Anthropology Consultancy is part of the Forensic Anthropology Service. The Forensic Anthropology Service is based on formal agreements set up between us and the Coroners' Service of Ireland and also the Office of the State Pathologist. The Service is also available on a 24/7 basis to An Garda Síochána, Forensic Science Ireland and other investigative authorities, including those in Northern Ireland. They include immediate photographic/image analysis of potential remains and scene attendance for search and recovery of remains in various situations, including fire scenarios, exhumations, mummification, dismemberment and retrieval from foreshore coastal areas. HRSI offers professional, confidential and independent forensic anthropological services in Ireland and the rest of Europe. Our consultancy includes human remains analysis, post-mortem computed tomography (PMCT) examinations, research project development and assistance and the provision of guest lectures in the forensic field. Researchers at the Irish Centre for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Research (ICAN) are dedicated to using interdisciplinary, rigorous scientific methods, to advance knowledge of autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. NUI Galway is a partner in an EU consortium of researchers to whom the European Commission has awarded funding as part of the Horizon 2020 program. The project GEMMA (Genome, Environment, Microbiome, and Metabolome in Autism) is a ground-breaking autism research project which aims to develop a greater understanding of the relationship between autism and gastrointestinal symptoms. The project will provide regular autism assessments for infants from 0-36 months of age, who are siblings of children with autism.
