Ludeman Family Center For Women's Health Research
At the Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research we perform cutting-edge research, mentor and fund the next generation of MD and PhD researchers, and educate the public and health care providers. In 2004, we became a center at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus because women’s health and sex differences have been significantly understudied. Greater knowledge about women’s health needs to be obtained so that both women and men are treated optimally. Because of the research gap, optimal preventions, treatments and cures for disease are lacking. We aim to accelerate a broadened research agenda in women’s health and sex differences, particularly in cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Cardiovascular disease and diabetes are leading causes of disability and death in women. These diseases are also often tied to struggles with depression and anxiety. We have seven senior scientists and over 60 affiliated junior MD and PhD, male and female scientists who study women’s health and sex differences across the lifespan from pregnancy and fetal programming, to children, adults, and the elderly. Our scientists include those who are experts in all types of science from the most basic to clinical/translational to epidemiologic to precision medicine. We have awarded over $1M through our peer review processes, while our young scientists have received over $60M in external funding. We have raised over $13M from private philanthropy and have a very involved Community Advisory Board. Our Scientific Council consists of prominent, internationally known scientists who are experts in the field of women’s health and sex difference research. We provide over 20 evidence-based educational programs each year to medical professionals, the scientific community and the public. We are working hard to speed progress and transform the future of women’s health. There is incredible opportunity before us – invaluable knowledge to be gained that will benefit everyone.

Mission Critical Team Institute
If tomorrow you were told that you had six months to build a team to resolve a future radical change event, how would you do it? What would be your methodologies, frameworks, and/or underlying assumptions? Our goal, in partnering with both researchers and practitioners, is to develop collaborative, applied research, focused on helping Mission Critical Teams effectively detect, recognize, react, respond, and recover from the radical change events caused by rapidly emergent complex adaptive problem sets. How do you teach someone to ride a bike? As soon as you start considering this problem you encounter the Tacit Knowledge Transfer Problem. Just because you may be an expert cyclist does not mean you possess the language or the skills to be an expert cycling instructor. The Instructor Cadres within Emergency Medicine, Urban and Wildland Fire, Tactical Law Enforcement, or Military Special Operations, face this problem every day. The Mission Critical Team Institute was founded to partner with Mission Critical Team Instructor Cadres to develop a more precise, and scientifically valid language, to more efficiently and effectively transfer tacit knowledge. As all MCT’s operate within immersion events of 5 minutes or less, we have broken down those events into Detection, Recognition, Reaction, Response and Recover to aid cadre members better diagnose and mediate (or remediate) learning opportunities to fully maximize an operator’s potential.

Open Excellence
Excellence began as an idea – that the time had come to reform mental health care. Today, we help all who are involved with mental health care by identifying the most promising initiatives and supporting change wherever it leads to excellence. As an international community foundation, we connect visionary donors with independent researchers and innovative, recovery-focused program developers. With donor-advised funds, Excellence gives serious philanthropists a place to bring new ideas to life and to invest with confidence in a new vision of excellence in mental healthcare. Together, we are working toward a day when excellence in mental health care is the rule rather than the exception, when recovery is a mainstream expectation and often-achieved goal, care is many-faceted, and medication is prescribed in a way that leads to optimal health and using evidence-based guidelines. Together, we support and educate individuals and families about mental health, trauma and psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia, depression, bipolar, anxiety, ADHD, addiction and others. We strengthen effective psychiatric rehabilitation approaches like peer support and Individual Placement and Support (IPS). We connect the top researchers, practitioners and thinkers in psychiatry and psychology, giving them a forum and an audience.

Priorclave North America Inc
Priorclave North America is the exclusive US and Canadian distributor of Priorclave Ltd. Laboratory Autoclaves (also known as steam sterilizers). Priorclave Ltd. was founded by Charles Prior in February 1988, in a modest manufacturing facility on the former Royal Arsenal site of Thamesmead, London. The Company initially manufactured laboratory autoclaves and climatic test chambers. The early product portfolio was a small range of innovative, 100L and 150L capacity, top and front loading autoclaves, with copper pressure vessels. These were ideally suited to food manufacturers who found an increasing demand for microbiological testing. The range shifted to grade 316L stainless steel pressure vessels, and gradually expanded with a bench top, then larger rectangular and steam jacketed models, autoclaves with power doors, and most recently a large capacity front loader. Priorclave now leads the market with features such as Thermal Safety Locks, Full Microprocessor Controls, and Media Warming Cycles, offered as standard on every model. The adoption of Biomaster Protected® patented powder coating technology, proven to reduce bacteria, reducing cross contamination risks, established Priorclave as the only brand with a proven ability to destroy bacteria, both inside and out. In a world of increased safety regulation and certification Priorclave has kept up with the times. BS9001 certification was achieved in 1995 and maintained as this progressed to BS EN ISO 9001:2008. To support its growing servicing, testing, and calibration operations, in 1998 Priorclave was accredited by UKAS as a calibration laboratory. Priorclave’s pressure vessel designs have always been independently checked and approved by external insurance assessors, a process formalized in 2004 by certification under the European Pressure Equipment Directive.
