AJANTA an Authentic Indian Restaurant since 1957 in Tokyo. Founded by Jaya Murti. First restaurant opened at Asagaya, Suginami-ku. Moved to Kudan, Chiyoka-ku, in 1961. Incorparated under the name Jaimurti Ltd, later changed to Ajanta Universe, Ltd. Branches were in Ginza, Kamakura, Karuizawa, Ikegukuro, Ebisu and Shiodome. Several outlets in departmental stores such as Takashimaya, Hankyu and Seibu. The business was aquired by Prance Corporation, Inc, headed by Mrs. Sae Arisawa, in 2005. After restructuring, all branches were closed and operating only the main restaurant in Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku.

The Bird Watching cafe is situated close to the Chitose river. From the cafe you can view the forest and all the birds and animals that live in the area. The cafe also has a purpose built bird hide from which you can photograph the animals at close range. We serve a variety of hot sandwiches and sweets with coffee, tea, cold drinks, beer and wine. Also housed in the same building is the Tadashi Shimada Nature photo gallery showcasing his work as a photographer of birds both locally in Hokkaido and other international works.
