Lgu Academy
LGU Academy is een urban-cultureorganisatie die elke week meer dan 800 jongeren bereikt met heel diverse achtergronden. Bij LGU kunnen jongeren terecht voor een kwalitatief aanbod aan stadscultuur: dans, muziek, sport en theater. Tegelijk wil LGU meer doen dan jongeren leren dansen, musiceren of acteren. “We willen dat ze hun leven in handen nemen. Ook al dansen ze puur als hobby, op tijd komen en zich aan de afspraken houden, hoort erbij. Dat zijn vaardigheden die ook op school en op het werk van pas komen.” LGU is werkelijk het toppunt van diversiteit! Jongeren van alle etnische achtergronden, sociale klassen en jongeren van beiden geslachten komen wekelijks lessen volgen en hebben reeds op heel wat mooie plaatsen mogen staan. Met LGU Academy bieden we jongeren, tussen de 6 en de 30 jaar een allround aanbod urbandance op en in samenwerking met verschillende locaties. Je kan bij LGU recreatief komen dansen en je kan ervoor kiezen om je te specialiseren in een bepaalde stijl en je niveau op te tillen. Voor de crews binnen LGU zijn er ook lessen klassiek, jazz, hedendaags, acrobatie, experimentele choreografie, freestyle, battle, improvisatie & zelfs coaching voor zij die zelf les willen geven. Naast urbandance bieden we ook volgende urban disciplines aan: MC'ing, Producing, Slap Poetry, Urban sports (freerunning, freestyle basket, skating, rope skipping.), Urban Media (clips shooten, grafisch ontwerpen.) en Visual Urban Arts (Graffiti). OVER SIHAME EL KAOUAKIBI Sihame El Kaouakibi, eerste 'Antwerpenaar van het jaar' en oprichtster van Let's Go Urban sleepte prijzen in de wacht als 'Vlaamse Cultuurprijs 2012','Belgium's Outstanding Young Person','Straffe Madam 2013', en komt voor in de lijst van '30 sterke vrouwen die de wereld veranderden' volgens Knack. Maison Vervloet
Vervloet is a family owned company founded in 1905 by Joseph Vervloet. Today, the company is headed by Isabelle Hamburger, great-grand-daughter of Joseph Vervloet, and still based in the heart of Europe: Brussels. For four generations, the company produces handcrafted decorative locks and other door fittings. This centenary experience gives Vervloet an impeccable know-how and quality of products. It allowed the company to dress the most beautiful palaces in the world and to obtain in 2004 the title of "supplier to the Belgian royal family". All the pieces produced are real jewels, each one finished by hand. Every model is made in wood or in plaster, then casted in sand. Those models are melted after quality control in the purest bronze or brass, polished, then finished by craftsmen trained in house. Original pieces can also be cut directly in the metal. The collection for all our models exceeds pieces, all of them have a history as a wish expressed by a customer or an original idea from Vervloet.

Mertens Frames is niet afhankelijk van hetgeen de groothandel levert: in onze ateliers in Amsterdam en Brussel worden in eigen beheer profielen in hout, ijzer, aluminium en plexiglas vervaardigd, waar de wens van de klant wordt vertaald in een Mertens Frames ontwerp. Verbeterde technieken voor hoekverbinding, lijstopbouw en dergelijke zijn in eigen atelier ontwikkeld en verfijnd om tot optimale kwaliteitslijsten komen.

NONA is uitgegroeid tot dé plek in Mechelen waar mensen elkaar ontmoeten en ervaringen delen. Een artistieke hotspot waar avonturiers en fijnproevers hun gading vinden. Na omzwervingen langs panden als Café Royal en Usine a Vapeur vestigt toneelgezelschap Theater Teater zich in een leegstaande bioscoop in de Begijnenstraat, centrum Mechelen. Op die stevige fundamenten start in 2001, ondertussen ook bijna 15 jaar geleden, een eigenzinnig kunstencentrum: NONA.

Family firm with respect for tradition Up to the turn of the last century, many professional artists prepared their own canvases. As more and more amateurs took up the brush, the demand for canvas prepared by traditional methods grew. In 1906, close to the River Leie and in the middle of the Flax District, Victor Claessens founded a company to produce top-quality artist’s canvas. To that end, he refined the tried and tested methods that had been passed down from generation to generation. Almost a century later, Claessens NV is still operating in the original buildings in Waregem. The descendants of Victor Claessens have made a conscious choice to keep a small-scale approach to production and to honour the traditional methods for treating artist’s canvas. Nowadays, much of the work is done by machine, but the core of the production process has remained unchanged. This respect for tradition and experience has made Claessens a ousehold name amongst artists, stretching far beyond the borders of Europe.

Terwijl andere parketfabrikanten steeds meer focussen op massaproductie van standaardproducten, maken wij het verschil met maatwerk, flexibiliteit én korte levertermijnen. Onze vakmensen willen in de eerste plaats eer halen uit hun werk. Waar anderen afhaken, leveren wij het gewenste parket.

Lutjeharms
De firma Lutjeharms werd opgericht in 1982 door Henk Lutjeharms. Sinds 2008 werkt Diederik Lutjeharms mee in de zaak. We werken alleen op bestelling en bijna uitsluitend met massief hout. De werkwijze is traditioneel, wat niet betekent dat de vormgeving daarom ook traditioneel moet zijn. We zijn gespecialiseerd in de restauratie en het kopiëren van oud schrijnwerk zoals dakgoten, voordeuren, erkers, trappen en lambriseringen. Ook de restauratie van meubelen behoort tot onze specialisaties. Alle disciplines worden hierbij beoefend: ook draaien, fineren, houtsnijden en beeldhouwen. Al onze projecten worden handmatig uitgevoerd. Sinds 2014 organiseren we ook stages in samenwerking met de vzw Erfgoedklassen van het Brussels Gewest. Tevens geven we seminaries over restauratie en behoud van buitenschrijnwerk, mede in het licht van de huidige isolatie rage in samenwerking met CDR-BRC en de Energiehuizen van Brussel. Tevens beschikken wij over onze eigen natuurlijk gedroogde houtvoorraad met lokaal gerooide bomen. We staan erop om alleen met deze stammen te werken omdat ze onze filosofie het sterkst benadrukt; geringe ecologische voetafdruk en een superieure kwaliteit. Ook onze eigen uitgebreide ijzerwaren stock (geen kleinhandel) geeft ons de mogelijkheid om projecten te voorzien van beslag, eigen aan de periode waarin ze zijn gemaakt. Lutjeharms beschikt over verschillende labels die ons authentieke en ambachtelijke karakter in de verf zetten zoals het Handmade In Belgium-label, een ambassadeurslabel dat werd ontwikkeld door Unizo. Daarnaast hebben we ook het label van Erkend Ambacht ontvangen van de overheid. Dit label wordt uitgereikt aan ambachten met een authentiek karakter, gebaseerd op handenarbeid, kwaliteit en traditie. Ook ontvingen we een derde label van de unie die garant staat voor alle ambachtslieden die instaan voor het behoud van ons patrimonium. Contacteer ons gerust voor een gesprek.

Mymodel Network
MyModel is geen modellenbureau maar speelt een belangrijke rol en is een belangrijke schakel bij de stap om model te worden of om populariteit uit te breiden op het internet. Reeds duizenden modellen en fotografen zijn bij ons langsgekomen om op zoek te gaan naar samenwerkingen en hun portfolio op te bouwen. Het succes is merkbaar door de voortdurende aangroei van nieuwe leden en de steeds groter wordende kern van regelmatige leden. We zijn dan ook onmiskenbaar de grootste modellen community uit de BeNeLux als het om actieve leden gaat. Leden die een tijdje niet meer online komen verdwijnen immers uit onze database zodat de communicatie en het tot stand brengen van samenwerkingen zeer efficient gebeurt. De aanwezige modellen (veeal beginners maar ook ervaren modellen) zijn onze leden waar het allemaal om draait maar een groot aantal fotografen schreef zich in en sinds kort kunnen ook andere artiesten zoals visagisten, dansers, acteurs, ontwerpers. e.d. zich ook inschrijven. Kortom alle artiesten die met modellen samenwerken of met podiumkunsten te maken hebben. Ook voor vele professionele modellen kan MyModel een meerwaarde betekenen. Wie niet afhankelijk wil zijn van een modellenbureau en toch op snelle, efficiënte manier op zoek is naar nieuwe opdrachten moet zich beslist inschrijven. Het is steeds gratis voor modellen. Anderen betalen een heel kleine jaarlijkse bijdrage die de verdere uitbouw van de website garandeert.
