Gravimorph Object, Lifestyle, Zen, Relax, Japanese Culture, Unique Movement, Comfortable Tone
GRAVIMORPH is a coined word combining two words : gravitation and morphology. It means "a substance that moves by gravity". When the combination (or encounter) of two simplified structures was affected by the power, it creates simple and unique movements and comfortable tones. Touch, feel and enjoy the beautiful motion and sound. GRAVIMORPH is manufactured and sold by Nozaki Limited. We “Nozaki Limited” has been engaged in metal processing in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, since 1902. The history of the metalworking industry of Sanjo dates back to the early Edo period (1603-1868) when farmers began making Japanese-style nails as their side business. Since then, the industry has greatly contributed to the development of Sanjo. Currently, the city thrives as Japan’s leading industrial center with over 300 metal processing companies, over 50 wood processing factories and various businesses mediating between them. In 2018 the expert of metalworking met Kazunari Higuchi, a renowned Japanese designer, and in 2019 their collaboration gave birth to GRAVIMORPH. Its unique motions and sounds bring about peace in your mind, and its simple and sophisticated design also adds to the luxury of your room.

Bridge Studio
Bridge to Kyoto is a residence for urbanists as well as an event, workshop, and gallery space. Anyone who considers themselves part of the phenomenon of “the city" is welcome to stay with us and/or use our space. A CREATIVE RESIDENCY FOR URBANISTS. Investigate Kyoto, share your work, and engage with the local scene. ABOUT Urbanists and creators from around the world come to Japan looking to engage with the local scene. Sadly, though, it’s easy to miss the depth and scope of urbanism in Japan without a hub to connect to it. Bridge to Kyoto is a vibrant and inviting space for visiting urbanists to stay, exchange ideas, and explore Kyoto. It's a home base for anyone interested in urbanism, architecture and sustainable living. Global Discourse, Local Practice. We can’t just copy and paste the best practices from other parts of the world to our city, but that doesn’t mean that we can't learn from each other. We believe that more urbanists coming from different backgrounds & sharing their work helps change the discourse and practice of urbanism across the globe. By inviting urbanists from around the world, we’d like to encourage local-scale international collaboration within a global frame of mind. Check out our sister site for more on global urbanism! Live and Work, Kyoto Style. Bridge to Kyoto is a residence for urbanists as well as an event, workshop, and gallery space. Anyone who considers themselves part of the phenomenon of “the city" is welcome to stay with us and/or use our space. Come meet other urbanists, exchange ideas both internationally and interdisciplinarily, and find collaboration and inspiration in Kyoto! It is based in an old, postwar, Kyoto-style home with a stream flowing in front and a bridge crossing over it to enter. After a renovation in 2019, it has found new life as a creative residence and community space. Though small, it functions fully as a residence as well as an event
