The initiative was conceived by Ben Teller (A start Up Media Company) and lovers of Art in Abeokuta Ogun State who seek to give Art more presence to enrich the creative industry of Ogun State. In April 22 Kuta had its first gathering in Abeokuta, involving Mentors sharing knowledge with aspiring and contemporary visual artists and encouraging them in their creative endeavors. The Art Community brings hope of retaining culture through art and engaging creatives in lucrative ventures. It's the first of its kind in the ancient and rapidly transforming city of Abeokuta welcoming members across various institutions and works of life in Ogun State and beyond.

Invisible Borders Trans-African Photographers Organisation” is an artist-led initiative founded in 2009 by Emeka Okereke but officially registered in 2011 as a not-for-profit organisation under CAC in Nigeria. The pioneer members and participants at the first road trip of the Organization are: Ray Daniels Okeugo, Emeka Okereke, Uche Okpa – Iroha, Amaiza Ojeikere, Uche James Iroha, Nike Adesuyi Ojeikere, Lucy Azubuike, Charles Okereke, Chriss Aghana Nwobu and Unoma Giese.The main aim of the Organisation is to work with artists and Individuals to contribute through art and photography to the patching of numerous gaps and misconceptions posed by frontiers within the 54 countries of Africa. Beyond that the organisation hopes to expand its activities beyond issues that relate to geographic borders and other forms of discriminating parameters in photography and arts. It is a platform that also stands as a symbol of exchange of ideas between cultures and people. The mission of the Initiative is to tell Africa’s stories, by Africans, through photography and inspiring artistic interventions; to encourage exposure of upcoming African photographers towards art and photography as practiced in other parts of the continent; to establish a platform that encourages and embraces trans- African artistic relationships within the continent, and to contribute towards the socio-political discourse shaping Africa of the 21st Century.

Peppersoup Factory

Peppersoup Factory is a collective of artists and creative professionals with a proven record of using unique artistic programming to deliver fun and impactful experiences to our community After a series of successful art events hosted by the collective in Ile-Ife (our town of inception), our team developed a framework for our first signature program; Colour Purge, in November of 2019. The program which required in-depth planning and design was launched and had more than 100 people in its inaugural edition. It featured over 10 experienced artists who led the participants in individual and collaborative painting sessions. Which resulted in the creation of art pieces that the participants were proud of. The artists inspired the first timers to invoke their inner creativity and express their eccentricity on canvas in a leisurely environment, free of judgments and expectations. Since inception, we have hosted more editions of Colour Purge and other curated activities like tours, photowalks, art residencies, artists hangouts and literary reviews. At the factory, we are always excited to seek and provide new ways in which art can be adopted and enjoyed by many.
