The Robotics and Innovation Club, CBIT is more than just a student group - it is a passionate fraternity of creators, innovators, and learners driven by the thrill of bringing machines to life. Rooted in collaboration and curiosity, our club thrives on the belief that technology, especially Robotics, is best learned by doing. We actively work on Combat Robotics including Robo Rovers, Robo Sumo, Robo Soccer, and Robo Wars, as well as a variety of impactful technical projects. Throughout the academic year, we organize workshops, events, and competitions designed to enrich the hands-on learning experience of students across CBIT. Our club provides essential mentorship, access to tools, components, and workspace, and encourages knowledge sharing among all members - whether you're a beginner or an experienced enthusiast. We meet regularly to discuss ongoing projects, manage resources, and plan upcoming events and innovations. There are no prerequisites to join only a willingness to learn, contribute, and grow. We are Vellore Institute of Technology's only Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) team. We are a team of engineering undergraduates spanning several disciplines who have independently designed, built, programmed an underwater vehicle. We aim to push the boundaries of underwater vehicle design with cutting edge technology and a work ethic rivalling professionals. SAUVC 2020 & 2025 – Qualified to compete at the Singapore AUV Challenge. Teknofest 2024, Türkiye – Achieved the highest Concept Design Report (CDR) score among Indian teams with 78 points, showcasing our strong design and technical vision. UVDC 2024, IIT Guwahati – Secured 5th place overall while competing against top national teams in the Underwater Vehicle Design Challenge. At UVDC 2024, we authored a technical paper on a conceptual ROV for the Challenger Deep, focusing on multi-modal sensing, image enhancement in low-visibility conditions, and pressure-resilient structural design. Teknofest 2025, Türkiye (Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition): We will be participating again and are ready to improve our performance.
