American Droid
Built for the Field. Engineered for Public Service. American Droid is a robotics engineering and integration company dedicated to enhancing public service missions. With our partners, we are currently prototyping and advancing toward the commercialization of telepresence robots equipped with dexterous end-effectors (robot hands) —designed to perform tasks that require durable, human-like fine motor skills in the field. This work is supported by the Department of Defense’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and centers on the development of a next-generation robotic hand system aimed at closing a critical capability gap. The system features highly dexterous manipulators with precision control and human hand-like strength, enabling operators to perform complex tasks via teleoperation in austere and high-risk environments. As we continue to develop our robotic hands, integrated platforms, and teleoperated and autonomous capabilities, our broader goal is to strengthen the domestic robotics industrial base and establish a resilient, U.S-based production model that supports national readiness and long-term innovation. We are actively seeking government customers who can benefit from teleoperated end-effectors for integration into new or existing platforms, as well as technology partners interested in advancing U.S-based robotic solutions. Contact us to learn more and explore how we can work together to bolster American-made robotic capabilities in service of public missions.
