SiPearl is the European fabless designer of sovereign high-performance energy-efficient processors for HPC, AI and data centres. These processors will help address strategic dual-use challenges in the fields of security, defence, medical research, energy, climate and engineering with a reduced environmental footprint. In June 2025, SiPearl completed the design of the most complex processor ever designed in Europe, Rhea1. Featuring 80 Arm Neoverse V1 cores, with 61 billion transistors, it is currently in production at TSMC in Taïwan and will be available for sampling in early 2026. Rhea1 processors will equip JUPITER, the first European exascale supercomputer owned by the EuroHPC JU and operated by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre in Germany. Incubated within the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium and seed-funded by the European Union, SiPearl employs 200 people in France, Spain and Italy. Following a successful €130 million Series A, the company is launching its Series B round.

New Imaging Technologies Nit
New Imaging Technologies (NIT) was founded in 2007 as a spin-off of the French National Research Center for Telecommunications to design and produce image products based upon patented high dynamic range response sensors. Where the first image sensors and cameras produced by NIT were using CMOS visible sensors, NIT quickly turned to the short-wave infrared region (SWIR) with a line of InGaAs SWIR products. Large R&D investments have taken place at NIT over the last years to cover all the technical aspects of SWIR technology from read-out circuit design, hybridization technology, photodiode arrays, camera electronics, and software. NIT is now a vertically integrated source for SWIR sensors and cameras, with in-house unique manufacturing technologies such as small pitch high yield hybridization capacity. Now, the SWIR InGaAs line is the sole activity from NIT, offering a unique product portfolio that ranges from small, low-cost SWIR sensors to high-speed line arrays and large-format focal plane arrays, including VGA, SXGA (HD), and Full HD.
