Sinfra är en ekonomisk förening där medlemmarna – främst offentligt ägda bolag och organisationer inom samhällsinfrastruktur – äger och styr verksamheten tillsammans. Att vara medlem innebär inflytande över föreningens riktning och möjlighet till återbäring när vi gör överskott. Medlemmarna verkar inom energi, vatten och avlopp, avfall, fiber samt hamnar. Dessa verksamheter levererar de tjänster och den försörjning som krävs för att samhället ska fungera varje dag. Som inköpscentral är vår uppgift att upphandla ramavtal – vi har inga produkter på lager, utan förhandlar fram avtal med leverantörer som våra medlemmar kan avropa från. Våra ramavtal är noggrant upphandlade enligt LOU och LUF, med höga krav på hållbarhet, kvalitet och pris. Dessutom erbjuder vi stöd genom hela inköpsprocessen, från operativa till strategiska frågor, så att våra medlemmar kan fokusera på sin kärnverksamhet. Sedan starten som Värmek 1984 har vi utvecklats från inköpscentral till strategisk partner. Idag arbetar vi långsiktigt tillsammans med våra medlemmar och leverantörer för att utveckla hela branschen. Vi driver gemensamma initiativ, samarbetar med myndigheter och branschorganisationer som Energiföretagen, Svenskt Vatten och Avfall Sverige, och bidrar aktivt till innovation och utveckling inom samhällsinfrastruktur. Det är detta som gör att Sinfra gör hållbara inköp enkelt.
