Elder Law Of Michigan
Elder Law of Michigan is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for, educate, and assist our target populations. While our services address the needs of many different people, we continue to target our services to older adults and persons with disabilities. For over 25 years, we have provided no-cost counseling on legal, pension, housing, nutrition, and benefits access. We also provide direct and collaborative partner assistance to organizations that work with our target populations. We receive financial and in-kind support from many sources, including the U.S. Administration for Community Living, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Michigan’s Aging and Adult Services Agency, the National Council on Aging, the Michigan State Bar Foundation, various community organizations throughout Michigan, volunteers, and donors. Elder Law of Michigan, Inc. was incorporated in 1990 and has provided award-winning programs and services for over 25 years. An all volunteer Board of Directors provides governance to the organization. Our management team has a combined 80 years experience in managing and serving in non-profit organizations. Additionally, Elder Law of Michigan is always interested in volunteers who want to join with others to bring justice, economic security, and safety to the lives of vulnerable families. Soul Dogs, Inc is an incredibly unique program located in Westminster, CO. Our main service is supporting adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and Autism. We do that through providing multiple services on the CO Medicaid waiver system: behavior therapy, job development, job coaching, mentorship, and the Dog Training Academy (DTA). Our academy teaches adults with I/DD how to work with dogs as a career: training, grooming, walking, etc. Beyond our stellar work with the I/DD community, we also serve our general community with dog training services.
