It undertakes a diverse range of research & development activities in the field of space science, technology and its applications as well as satellite design and development programmes. Karachi Astronomers’ Society (KAS) is a dedicated group of astronomers of Karachi and beyong. KAS is the short name given to this society by the founders. Now KAS has its active members beyond Karachi as well, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Sargoda, Hyderabad, other Pakistani cities as well as in other countries such as UAE, USA, Australia, Italy, Germany etc. KAS is the first Astronomy club and largest Astronomy club of Pakistan in terms of members, affiliations and events, having arranged many types of events promoting Astronomy as hobby and science in Karachi and Pakistan. Since 2008, KAS has been promoting the use of Binoculars and telescopes through various events, workshops and Rutjugas and made enthusiasts aware of usage, availability, and technicalities.

Space And Astrophysics Research Lab Sarl - Ncgsa
The Space and Astrophysics Research Lab (SARL) is one of the seven research facilities operating under NCGSA. At SARL, we aim to develop the field of astronomy and astrophysics in Pakistan, through the study of space, the Universe, stars, galaxies, and other cosmic phenomena. To achieve this, the lab consists of and operates with high-end computational systems, GPUs, and workstations, alongside an observatory that is equipped with few of Pakistan's biggest optical and solar telescopes. The researchers at SARL work in the theoretical, computational, and observational domains of galactic, plasma, high-energy and gravitational wave astrophysics. Through our research activities, internships, seminars, and workshops, we simultaneously focus on and promote UN's SDGs such as provision of quality education, support to innovation and infrastructure, establishment of global and local partnerships, and ensuring gender equality through equal opportunity.

Spacecademy Society is passionately dedicated to promoting space science education in Pakistan! With unshakable enthusiasm, we are spreading the wonders of the cosmos across the City of Lights – Karachi and beyond. For years, we've been on an incredible journey, inspiring young minds and igniting a love for astronomy. Through Spacecademy Society’s dynamic outreach, we have conducted astronomy awareness sessions in nearly 30 schools across Karachi, searching for the next generation of space enthusiasts. Our impactful sessions have reached top international schools, including Beaconhouse and The Merit School, where we had an amazing time engaging with students, fueling their curiosity, and expanding their knowledge of the universe! But our mission doesn't stop there! We bring the cosmos to life through solar observations and night sky explorations in collaboration with schools, giving students hands-on experience with telescopes. These thrilling activities have sparked a passion for astrophotography, pushing students to explore the endless frontiers of space! Beyond schools, Spacecademy Society has taken center stage at major science festivals! We proudly conducted space science shows at events organized by the Thar Educational Alliance, with support from UNICEF. Our journey has taken us to Sukkur, Sujawal, and Karachi, where we performed live space science demonstrations, captivating audiences and creating a wave of excitement for space science and cosmology! Our mission is clear—to inspire, educate, and shape the future of space exploration in Pakistan!
