Fc Cska 1948
CSKA was established on May 5, 1948 in the Military Club in Sofia. The club holds the record for most trophies from the Bulgarian First League - 31. Between 1954 and 1962 CSKA was champion in nine consecutive seasons, which is still an unsurpassed national record. The Reds has also won 21 National Cups of Bulgaria and 4 Super Cups. CSKA is as well the most successful Bulgarian team in the European club tournaments, reaching two semi-finals for the European Cup (during the 1966/67 and 1981/82 seasons), as well as four times reaching the quarterfinals of the same tournament. In season 1988/89 CSKA played a semi-final for the Cup Winners’ Cup. The club is known as the „killer of European champions & “. So far, CSKA has won against four current winners of the European Cup / Champions League, and in three of these cases eliminated these champions - Ajax (1974), Nottingham (1981) and Liverpool (1982). CSKA has given a path to many of the legends of Bulgarian football. Among them are the only Bulgarian who won the Golden Ball - Hristo Stoichkov; the first Bulgarian football player to score in the final of a European club tournament - Emil Kostadinov; the record holder for awards for Footballer №1 of Bulgaria and for goals for the national team - Dimitar Berbatov; the first Bulgarian winner of the Golden Boot - Petar Zhekov, and many others. Zhekov is the best goal scorer in the history of CSKA with 144 goals. Boris Gaganelov is the player with the most appearances - 350. After the deliberate bankruptcy of the club in 2016, CSKA began its moral revival from the lowest level of Bulgarian football. The Reds has won consecutively the trophies from Fourth League, Third League and Second League. Aubg Olympics
More than a decade ago the American Football team “AUBG Griffins” decided to liven up their practices by organizing challenges among the team players. They gained popularity and the challenges evolved into one of the most anticipated events during the spring semester at the American University in Bulgaria. Thus, the idea of the AUBG Olympics club was born. Today, we organize the only all-university sports event, which includes 15 disciplines, played in a competitive atmosphere. The event opens with an on-campus celebration that involves the entire AUBG community, displays various talents and spectacles to recreate the university spirit and to officially open the weekend of the upcoming local Olympiad. During the games, there are refreshments and quality music complementing the excitement on the field. The all-day event has been growing through the years and now attracts over 800 people from AUBG and the local community, including participants and spectators. The Olympiad is held at the Porter Baseball Field, Bachinovo Park, Blagoevgrad. In addition to that, we also organize five to six sports challenges throughout the academic year. As the biggest club at the university and as one of the most influential and respected student organizations, AUBG Olympics abides by the principles of passion, ambition, and diligence. The fire that burns inside our ribcages drives us ever forward.

Therefore, home matches are played at the club's training ground in Komatevo neighborhood. Botev has won 2 Bulgarian championships, 3 Bulgarian Cups, 1 Bulgarian Supercup, and 1 Balkans Cup.

Our Volleyball club named "Teteven Volley ", was founded in Teteven, Bulgaria in the beginning of 2003 non –formally. We emphasize “ non -fomally “ as the real and legislative birth of the sports club is 03.07.2008, when it was founded as an Non-governmental organization and registered officially in the Ministry of Justice and the Volleyball Federation of Republic Bulgaria. Main initiators of the idea for a professional volleyball club, volleyball school and an educative NGO involved in local sports and educational activities are : Mr. Ivan Tsvetkov – a lawyer and the head of the organization, Mr. Dimcho Dikov – currently responsible for the youth activities in the Municipality of Teteven, Mr. Dimitar Naydenov – actively involved in sports and social life in the region, current coach of young players in our volleyball school and Mr. Petar Mechkarov -former player in the Bulgarian volleyball men team in the near past and currently preparing our professional team. They all believe, as everybody connected somehow with the club, that the existence of “ Teteven Volley “connects the victorious sports past, the current development of youth and the good sports and educative future for our children. The professional club, the amateur team and the children in our volleyball academy are mainly using the sports facilities of the Sports Hotel “ Olymp “ in Teteven and its sports hall named after the national hero Georgi Benkovski.
