Rmi Development
Investment in Africa is all the rage, especially in Agriculture. But it is risky, and businessmen and farmers don't like risk. That's why RMI exists: to help investors and communities understand the threats arising from change and then to work together to manage them. Our unique 3D Development approach means the key bases are covered: financial profit, social harmony and environmental protection. Investors can get on with what they know best: doing their business knowing the rest is covered. That's why we are called RMI. It means Risk Management for Investors.(By the way, we include the communities as Investors too. Its part of RMI's unique approach.) We are guides showing Investors, Communities and Smallholder Farmers the way to go past conflict and create prosperity with each other. Guided by strong values, simple strategies and effective relationships, clients make sense of the difficult investment terrain in rural Africa and map out uncomplicated pathways to all-round success. These achievements are secured by our wisdom and experience, gained through the accomplishment of more than 50 projects, in more than 10 countries over 11 years of operation. Our Directors combine more than 100 years of work at a senior leadership level in organizations across Africa. Combining their care, intelligence and integrity, RMI has designed crafted value proposals to suit our customers: • Investors on new projects seeking a Social license to operate, • Working Farms seeking security and harmony with their surrounding communities, • Established industries seeking to build sustainable supply chains, • Communities eager to embrace growth and investment opportunities, We give investors peace of mind, we give communities security and opportunity, and we bring prosperity and sustainability to all. Khutsata Education Centre
Khutsatsa Education Centre(KEC) is a rural based Non-Profit Organization (NPO) whose main aim is to capacitate or educate communities especially women and children on various topical issues such as covid-19, mental health, HIV/AIDS, disability, teenage pregnancy, early childhood care, women and children's rights, gender, gender based violence, cancer, tuberculosis, child abuse, child marriages stigmatization and many others. Since there is a high prevalence of myths and misconceptions on just about any topical issue in Swazi rural communities such as the notion of disability being misperceived to be a curse or cancer being assumed to be caused by witchcraft. KEC seeks to provide the correct information around these less talked about and mostly taboo issues through the dissemination the correct information. KEC will achieve this through the hosting of community mobilization activities such as meetings, dialogues, talk shows, seminars, workshops, youth concerts, sporting activities. Where necessary various resource persons will be invited to educate community members otherwise most of the educational sessions will be undertaken by the Executive Director as a qualified sociologist. Through the education of community members KEC hopes to see certain indicators such as an increase in the number of domestic abuse cases reported especially to community police, a positive change of behaviour and attitudes for instance on stigmatization, the recognition and respect for women and children's rights, the demystification of discourses such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, depression etc.
