Technical and Vocational Education Center (TVEC) is a vocational training institute established in 2017 as CSR of the Coastline Foundation. It is a one-of-a-kind institution where participants learn through practical experience, teamwork, community activities and living together. TVEC aims to provide efficient, effective, employable, and skilled technical people to the country’s industries. This institute, established in B. Kihaadhoo on an area of 5 acres, operates as an autonomous facility offering a range of technical and vocational programmes approved by the Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA). The TVEC campus comes with in-house accommodation for its staff and students with other facilities such as academic workshops and classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, a canteen, a mosque, and recreational spaces.
