Ceias Central European Institute Of Asian Studies
Central European Institute of Asian Studies (CEIAS) in an independent think tank located in Bratislava, Slovakia. The main purpose of CEIAS is to promote and conduct research and spread knowledge about Asia among scholars, experts and professionals in Slovakia and the wider Central European region. To meet our targets, we publish research materials, organize seminars and conferences and support education about relevant Asian topics at Slovak universities. Our activities focus mainly on international relations and security studies in the geographical regions of East, South and Southeast Asia. The Institute coordinates its activities with similar organizations in other Visegrad countries with the aim of maximizing the relevant knowledge for countries in the region.

Iness - Institute Of Economic And Social Studies
INESS, the Institute of Economic and Social Studies, began its activities in January 2006 as an non-governmental and apolitical civic association founded by concerned individuals and financed by private donations and revenues from its own activities. As an independent think tank, INESS monitors the functioning and financing of the public sector, evaluates the effects of legislative changes on the economy and society and comments on current economic and social issues. INESS’ goal is to broaden public awareness of the principles of market mechanisms’ functions and the effects of state interventions and their impact on society and everyday life. INESS’ priority areas include taxation and contributions to the state budget, social system (including pensions), the public healthcare system, monetary policy, EU membership issues, government regulation and property rights All of the Institute’s activities focuses on solutions to urgent economic and social problems, bearing in mind that society’s main pillars are private property, peaceful coexistence and the guarantee of personal freedom.

The main aim of M.E.S.A. 10 is to support independent market economy and principles such as free competition, equality of opportunities, independent enterprises, inviolability of private property, limited competencies of the state, openness of economy and separation of economic and political powers. Since its founding in 1992, MESA10 champions individual liberty, free market economy and a government of limited powers. It promotes private initiative, individual rights, democratic principles and values such as free competition, equality of chances, free enterprise, openness of the economy and inviolability of private ownership. MESA10 and its members pushed for structural reforms in economy, banking, judiciary, public finances and public administration. After Slovakia's integration into the European Union and the NATO in 2004, MESA10 strengthened its accent on sharing Slovakia's transitional and reform experience. Our mission is to develop the idea of a civic Slovakia where everyone can live peacefully and happily, regardless of their nationality, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or region. We live in a diverse country and we believe that Slovakia will thrive best when all citizens feel equally at home in it. We subscribe to the rich tradition of intercultural cooperation in the Central European region, which for us is embodied in the person of Matej Bel. The IMB takes the form of a civil association carrying out research, analytical, publishing and educational activities. However, the specificity of our approach is the combination of academic work with intensive partnership building and civic activities in the regions of Slovakia. All of this works in collaboration with our domestic and international partners, which are foundations, non-profit organizations, local governments, state authorities, universities, and others.

Vzniklo za účelom konfrontovania trendu demokratického úpadku a rastúcej popularity extrémistických hnutí. Jedným z jeho prejavov je aj kritický nedostatok vedomostí politikov o záležitostiach, o ktorých v parlamente rozhodujú. Tie majú pritom zásadný celospoločenský dopad. IPEV chce svojim projektom Politická akadémia pomôcť k zastaveniu tohto nelichotivého trendu a vrátiť do vrcholovej politiky viac kompetencií.
