Culture Tank Factory
Culture Tank Factory is a think-and-do tank that explores the intersections of art, culture, and social transformation. Our name reflects our method: Tank, a space where ideas are collected, questioned, and re-imagined through critical inquiry; Factory, a laboratory where these ideas are shaped into cultural and political tools; and Culture, the process through which meaning, identity, and collective memory are produced and contested. CTF operates as an open, interdisciplinary platform addressing social, political, environmental, and human issues through cultural and artistic methodologies. We view culture not as ornament or entertainment, but as a language of politics and a practice of civic imagination. By combining research, artistic production, and policy experimentation, CTF seeks to rebuild the cultural field in Syria and the region from the ground up—independent, reflective, and socially engaged. We aim to decentralise cultural knowledge, bridge research with practice, and cultivate inclusive spaces that enable communities to think, create, and act collectively.
