Group For Legal And Political Studies
Group for Legal and Political Studies is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit public policy think tank based in Prishtina, Kosovo. Our mission is to conduct credible and evidence-based policy research in the fields of politics, law and economics, to share this information with the public and contribute to public-opinion formation, and to push forward realistic policy solutions, via engagement and advocacy with media, policy-makers, and elite stakeholders, that address the failures of previous policies, that instigate critical evaluation of current and upcoming policies and offer prescription, and that prompt long-term political, legal, and economic development. Through advocating the policy solutions derived from our policy research, we aim to support four fundamental policy developments: a. to support the democratization of the polity with regard to institutional and substantive policy reform; b. to strengthen the rule-of-law capacity and performance via informed policy solutions and practical advocating strategies; c. to enhance the economic growth and development by promoting market strategies that increase the rate of growth and stability, and d. to help improve regional cooperation and Kosovo’s presence at the international level.

Kosovar Centre For Security Studies Kcss
Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) is a non-governmental and non-profit think tank established on 17 April 2008. KCSS is established with the main aim to develop research studies in the security sector. Also, KCSS through its activities aims to organize professional conferences and seminars in the field of security policy, rule of law, justice, and provides training for certain groups in monitoring the security sector and justice. Given the lack of specialized institutes dealing with the field of security studies in our country, KCSS serves as an alternative option in relation to public policy in this area. The main activities KCSS conducted until now have strengthened the principles of democratic oversight of security institutions in the Republic of Kosovo.

Regional Action Lab Re-Act Lab
Regional Action Lab (Re-ACT Lab) is a regional Think Tank/Institute, based in Prishtina, Kosovo. Re-ACT Lab was established with the aim of contributing to the advancement of good governance and evaluation of policymaking at the regional level (Western Balkans) through independent, data-driven research analysis, public debates, multimedia advocacy and lobbying with different relevant stakeholders. Our think tank promotes a new approach directed towards finding solutions, monitoring, supporting and recommending necessary changes and upgrades to advance the governmental and policymaking reforms in Kosovo and regionally.

Kosovo Local Government Institute Klgi
Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) is a think-tank that is strongly committed to improve and strengthen local governance in Kosovo. Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) was established by a group of experts on local government. KLGI is a professional institution, based on international models that engage the country to successfully deal with the EU integration processes. Kosovo Local Government Institute aims to contribute to the ongoing process of reforms of local governance affairs and to advance the decentralized system of governance with particular emphasis on increasing the accountability and capacity development at the municipal level. The focus of KLGI is on the democratic consolidation and well functioning of local level institutions with respect to contemporary practices and trends. Towards this perspective, the KLGI is active through research, advocacy, networking, policy-advice, capacity building and other forms of support of local government.

Kosovar Stability Initiative Iniciativa Kosovare Për Stabilitet - Iks
The Kosovar Stability Initiative (IKS) is an independent, not-for-profit think tank focusing on empirical research and analysis of socio-economic development in Kosovo. IKS was created in 2004 in recognition of the pressing need for independent, in-depth analysis of important issues involved in promoting stability and prosperity in Kosovo. It’s innovative and policy-relevant research aims at initiating debates on important issues for Kosovo’s future, generating national consensus and a higher level of domestic buy-in for the political choices and inspiring home-grown fit for purpose public policy decisions. IKS continually seeks to support men and women by increasing their awareness of key policy and legislative issues and debates that can have a profound impact on themselves, their families and their communities. We work diligently to inform public policies with empirical evidence and research, to facilitate the participation of men and women in policy reform processes with a focus on good governance, social justice & rights, human rights, environment, culture, and EU integration. We believe that evidence-based public debate stands at the core of democratic decision-making and economic transformation in the country. IKS does not have a party, political or any other organizational affiliation. IKS’s highly experienced and multidisciplinary team is committed to achieving its objective. An Advisory Board, including Kosovar and international analysts and practitioners, also supports its work. Since its inception, IKS has worked on numerous empirical research projects focused on issues such as governance, economic development, urban planning, cultural heritage, anti-corruption, environmental issues, education, Kosovo’s image problem and the current muddled governance structure. IKS is also part of an ESI-inspired network of think-tanks across South East Europe and an associate member of ECAS.
