Coreso Sa

Coreso is the Regional Coordination Service Centre subsidiary of 50Hertz Transmission (Germany), EirGrid (Ireland), Elia (Belgium), National Grid ESO (United Kingdom), REE (Spain), REN (Portugal), RTE (France), Terna (Italy) and SONI (Northern Ireland). The area monitored by Coreso's Brussels-based technical coordination centre covers 275 million customers, some 54% of the European Union’s population. Coreso started its operations in February 2009 and is the first joint technical coordination centre owned by several transmission system operators. Coreso has delivered substantial improvements in operational coordination between transmission grids in response to new challenges. The growth of renewable energy sources – characterized by their variable output - coupled with the rise in cross-border exchanges in the European electricity market, are leading to increasing fluctuation in power flows. Coreso has developed a high degree of reliability and expertise. On several occasions, Coreso demonstrated its value by identifying in the electrical system risk situations that are only detectable by an overall sharing, beyond the national perimeter of each individual transmission network. In practice, Coreso provides the control centres of participating TSOs with detailed forecasts of network security in this extended coverage zone, by producing security analyses, simulating a range of different scenarios and suggesting coordinated measures. Coreso coordinates exchanges between the national control centres, which remain operationally responsible on their respective networks.

Norther

Norther is an offshore wind farm – a total of 44 wind turbines – with a maximum capacity of 370 MW that is situated in the Belgian North Sea, within the Exclusive Economic Zone of Belgium, approximately 23 kilometres from the Belgian port of Zeebruges. The concession was granted at the end of 2009, which is when the actual development of the Project began. The shareholders in this project are all parties with the necessary expertise and experience in developing renewable energy projects. Norther is ultimately owned by two parties: Belgian Elicio – a Belgian renewable energy producer operating internationally (50%) and Dutch Eneco – a major producer and supplier of renewable electricity, natural gas and heat in the Netherlands and Belgium (50%).

AWW en TMVW, partners onder de naam water-link, zijn twee van de grootste drinkwaterbedrijven in Vlaanderen. AWW produceert jaarlijks 150 miljoen m3 drinkwater op basis van oppervlaktewater. De Antwerpse industrie is de grootste afnemer, daarnaast vormen de andere drinkwatermaatschappijen een steeds groeiend klantensegment en tot slot bedient AWW reeds meer dan 130 jaar de drinkwaterklanten van de Antwerpse regio. De strategische focus ligt op het uitbreiden van de waterleveringen, op het vernieuwen van de productie-installaties en op het kostenefficiënt werken. Voor TMVW is service in de meest brede zin de centrale doelstelling. TMVW bedient maar liefst drinkwaterklanten. Daarnaast ligt de strategische focus op de uitbouw van een brede dienstverlening buiten deze drinkwateractiviteit, zoals de integratie van de activiteiten rond drinkwater, afvalwater en wegenis. Water-link werd opgericht in 2010 omdat de complementariteit van TMVW en AWW opportuniteiten creëert. Samen met VMW zal water-link de komende jaren ‘Aquaduct’ realiseren, de bouw van een nieuwe infrastructuur waardoor een ringleiding voor transport van water ontstaat in Vlaanderen. Water-link richtte ook Induss op, een full service dienstenbedrijf voor industrieel water. Tot slot zijn ook het uitbouwen van shared services en het behalen van maximale schaalvoordelen voor de hand liggende doelstellingen. Water-link telt ongeveer 1200 medewerkers.

Nemo Link Limited

ABOUT US The Nemo Link interconnector is a joint venture between National Grid Interconnector Holdings Limited, a subsidiary company of the UK’s National Grid Plc, and the Belgian Elia group. The interconnector electrically connects Belgium and GB providing both countries with improved grid reliability and access to sustainable generation. Nemo Link consists of subsea and underground cables connected to a converter station and an electricity substation in each country, which allows electricity to flow in either direction between the two countries. The interconnector is a key enabler for the energy transition towards a sustainable carbon-neutral future. TRADE WITH US Nemo Link couples the GB and Belgium power markets allowing electricity to be physically traded between both countries. Through Nemo Link, market parties have the opportunity to buy capacity up to MW in either direction via explicit and/or implicit auctions. Nemo Link offers its Long-Term explicit auctions on the Single Allocation Platform managed by the Joint Allocation Office (JAO). All available capacity at the Day-Ahead stage is offered to the market via the Single Day-Ahead Market Coupling (SDAC) mechanism whereby interconnector capacity and energy get sold at the same time (so-called implicit auctions). All available capacity after the Day-Ahead stage is offered to the market via the Intraday explicit auctions run by the JAO's Auction Platform. Acquired Long-term and Intraday capacity rights can get nominated via the Regional Nomination Platform. Aquaduin

Aquaduin (IWVA ov) verzorgt de productie en distributie aan de gemeenten Alveringem, De Panne, Koksijde, Nieuwpoort, Veurne en enkele deelgemeenten van Diksmuide (Lampernisse, Oostkerke, Pervijze en Stuivekenskerke). Daarnaast vervult Aquaduin ook de rioleringsopdracht voor de gemeenten De Panne, Nieuwpoort, Veurne en Alveringem. De drinkwaterproductie bij Aquaduin is duurzaam. Zo wordt afvalwater hergebruikt voor de productie van drinkwater. In het waterproductiecentrum 'Torreele' in Wulpen zorgen membraanfilters voor de zuivering van het effluent van Aquafin. Vervolgens wordt dit water geïnfiltreerd in de duinen van het waterwingebied Sint-André. Na een gemiddelde verblijftijd van 60 dagen wordt dit geïnfiltreerde water, samen met natuurlijk grondwater aangevoerd, teruggewonnen om er drinkwater mee te maken. Aquaduin staat ook in voor het beheer van haar natuurgebieden en de aanleg en onderhoud van de recreatieve infrastructuur. Tot deze natuurgebieden behoren De Doornpanne, het zuidelijke deel van Ter Yde, het Calmeynbos, de Krakeelduinen en het natuurreservaat Cabour. In het Bezoekerscentrum De Doornpanne kun je terecht voor extra informatie en geleide wandelingen.
