The Animal Referral Hospital
The Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) is a well-established and leading group of specialist and emergency veterinary hospitals. We offer a wide range of specialist services and provide 24-hour emergency and critical care throughout our facilities in Sydney NSW, Baulkham Hills NSW, Gosford NSW, Fyshwick ACT, Essendon Fields VIC and now in Sinnamon Park QLD. Services offered in our hospitals include internal medicine, surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, ophthalmology, dentistry, dermatology, animal behaviour, exotics and avian, diagnostic imaging (including CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound) emergency and critical care, and physiotherapy. The ARH employs over 500 staff including internationally recognised specialists, highly experienced vets, a strong and dedicated team of nurses and support staff. We strive for excellence in everything we do and as many of us are pet owners we aim to make our patient's visits as comfortable as possible. At night, weekends and public hoildays our hospitals are staffed by experienced vets and nurses who constantly communicate with our specialists. The same staff provide an "out of hours" service to clients of other vets throughout our sites, to provide emergency treatment for their patients and overnight monitoring of critical cases. Our emergency service staffs our ICU at night, and deals with problems such as heart failure, patients hit by car, gastric dilation and volvulus (GDV or bloat), seizures and poisonings. ARH also runs regular workshops and seminars to provide continuing education to our referring veterinarians and nurses. Our flagship hospital located at Homebush in Sydney includes training rooms and an onsite seminar room which can comfortably seat 100 guests.
