Ziweto Enterprise
Ziweto Enterprises provides access to quality and affordable animal health and nutrition products to smallholder livestock farmers in Malawi who want to improve productivity of their livestock. Ziweto operates a network of micro-franchised veterinary shops and works with last mile distributors to deliver quality and affordable veterinary medicines, vaccines, animal nutrition products and livestock production equipment to smallholder farmers in Malawi. Ziweto partners with leading veterinary and animal nutrition products manufacturers across the World to source quality products that are distributed through its network of 15 “Ziweto Agro-vet Shops.” Three are company owned and four are operated by young people as micro-franchises. We recruit, train and equip Livestock Lead Farmers (currently 106), who operate as last mile distributors reaching thousands of smallholder livestock farmers in remote parts of Malawi. Ziweto believes that with improved nutrition and health of livestock, smallholder farmers will raise healthier and productive farm animals that will give them more meat, milk and eggs, resulting in increased food security and incomes.
