Veterinaire Studievereniging Gent Kleine Huisdieren - Vsgk

VSGk staat voor 'Veterinaire Studievereniging Gent kleine huisdieren' en is een studievereniging verbonden aan de Faculteit Diergeneeskunde van de Universiteit Gent. VSGk is begin 2016 opgericht met als doel het organiseren van lezingen en andere activiteiten gericht op kleine huisdieren. Deze activiteiten worden georganiseerd als extra verdieping naast de studie. Hierbij komen verschillende onderwerpen aan bod die steeds zoveel mogelijk op de praktijk gericht zijn. Onze activiteiten zijn steeds toegankelijk voor alle studenten en personeelsleden van de Faculteit Diergeneeskunde. VSGk werkt nauw samen met de andere studieverenigingen op de Faculteit Diergeneeskunde, namelijk VSGp (optie paard), VSGh (optie herkauwers) en VSDW (wildlife), en met studentenvereniging VDK (Vlaamse Diergeneeskundige Kring). Daarnaast worden wij ondersteund door verschillende professoren van de Universiteit Gent en worden al onze activiteiten mede mogelijk gemaakt door onze hoofdsponsor Zoetis en onze tweede sponsor Hill's. VSGh is opgericht in 2016 door studenten diergeneeskunde aan de universiteit Gent, in samenwerking met Prof. Opsomer, Prof. Deprez en Dr. Pardon en is er voor alle studenten diergeneeskunde die geïnteresseerd zijn in herkauwers. Ons doel is om studenten diergeneeskunde de mogelijkheid te geven praktijkgericht te leren en al enkele connecties in het werkgebied te leggen.
