Meginstarfsemi Steypustöðvarinnar er framleiðsla á blautsteypu, þar sem mikil áhersla er lögð á gæðamál og öll íblöndunar- og fylliefni sem notuð eru í steinsteypu eru samkvæmt kröfum byggingareglugerðar. Stöðugt er unnið að vöruþróun og innleiðingu nýjunga í framleiðslu og í raun má segja að blautsteypa sem framleidd er í dag sé hátæknivara sem verður til með tölvustýrðum framleiðsluferlum sem byrja í steypustöð og enda með dælingu úr steypubíl á byggingastað. Félagið rekur eigin rannsóknarstofu þar sem stöðugt er fylgst með gæðum allra ferla framleiðslunnar. Auk framleiðslu á blautsteypu eru framleiddar hellur og allt sem því tilheyrir í fullkominni helluverksmiðju og félagið rekur múrverslun á Malarhöfða þar sem m.a. eru seld hágæða múrefni sem félagið flytur inn. Steypustöðin býður einnig uppá þjónustu flotbíla sem þjónusta nýbyggingar og endurbætur um allt land með ílagnarefni í gólf af margvíslegum toga.

BM Vallá hefur hátt í 70 ára sögu og gegnir fyrirtækið forystuhlutverki í framleiðslu á steypu- og múrvörum fyrir íslenskan byggingariðnað. Starfsemin er fjölbreytt en BM Vallá starfrækir sex starfsstöðvar á landinu, þar á meðal steypustöð, múr- og helluverksmiðju, húseininga- og smáeiningaframleiðslu ásamt því að söluskrifstofur eru á fjórum stöðum. Einnig eru starfræktar tvær rannsóknarstofur þar sem fara fram prófanir, rannsóknir og þróun á eiginleikum framleiðslunnar.
