Star Of The South
The Star of the South is Australia's most advanced offshore wind project, proposed off the coast of Gippsland in Victoria. If developed to its full potential Star of the South would provide up to around 20% of Victoria’s energy requirements while creating jobs and investing in the local economy. The project is currently in the feasibility stage. The Star of the South is being progressed by local Australian developers, along with expert offshore wind partners, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Copenhagen Offshore Partners. Our goal is to secure Australia's long-term energy needs in an environmentally-friendly and sustainable way. Rules of engagement: We welcome your feedback and participation on this page. Wind With Purpose
At Wind with Purpose, we believe in a sustainable future powered by clean energy. Our mission is to empower companies on their journey to net zero emissions. Wind power provides the heavy lifting through its base load capacity to make a rapid transition to net zero both economical and achievable. Our timing to market, our team, and our strategic focus will drive our success. We collaborate with our clients by providing them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to make the transition to clean energy as seamless as possible using embedded wind power. We build a complete solution tailored for each client – including the use of complementary renewables-based technologies such as solar energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and strategic grid access arrangements where appropriate - sometimes supported by temporary transition peaking capacity from gas or diesel. We also source debt and equity capital providers and investment partners to optimise the capital base for each project. Our current focus is on building out a portfolio of wind farms with commercial and industrial clients with a base load power consumption of at least 5MW – initially in Western Australia – and then in India and Ireland.
