Greek Wine Cellars D. Kourtakis S.A
Greek Wine Cellars – D. Kourtakis S.A.” was established in 1895 by Vassilis Kourtakis (1865 – 1946), the first Greek oenologist in contemporary Greece with degree in oenology. In the late 1960’s, Vassilis Kourtakis, the third generation of the Kourtakis family and today’s Chairman and Managing Director of “Greek Wine Cellars – D. Kourtakis S.A.”, took over the company’s reins. In the mid-1980’s Vassilis Kourtakis created a state-of-the-art winery in Ritsona, Viotia. The company adopted cutting-edge winemaking methods and engaged in the production of a new range of non-resinated wines. In 1985, the company launched its Apelia range. In 1992, due to rapid pace of growth of the export, occurred the need to expand its wine portfolio, thus it led the company to collaboration with Calliga winery. “Greek Wine Cellars” would take over both the production and sales of the Calliga products in Greece and abroad, thus adding a premium quality range of wines to its own portfolio. The thrive of exports expanded over 32 countries around the world. In exports accounted for nearly half of the company’s annual turnover. Rapidly the “Greek Wine Cellars” expanded; through strategic and carefully planned collaborations. In 2004, the company bought 50% of the share capital of “Oenoforos S.A.”, consequently selling the “boutique” wines of the noted and respected winemaker, Angelos Rouvalis. In late 2009 “Greek Wine Cellars” began a co-operation with the group “Grands Chais de France” to distribute the GCF products in Greece. Subsequently, “Greek Wine Cellars” added to its product range a renowned selection of imported wines, that were previously entirely absent, thereby complementing the company’s own portfolio of Greek wines. The Giannikos Winery is a family owned organic winery based in Corinth on the Peloponnese in Greece. We own 8 ha of vines on two sites, one in Corinth around our winery and the other in Mycenae, near the famous archaeological site and birthplace of Greek viticulture almost years ago. We believe that a good wine has its roots in the vineyard from healthy and natural vines. That’s why we cultivated and produce strictly organic. Today we are considered as one of the leading organic wineries in Greece and we export 80% of our production all over the world. All our wines are single varietal because we are convinced that this way, we can show our passion for quality and give each grape variety the attention that it deserves. We have been awarded several times at international wine competitions such as AWC Vienna and Millesime Bio.

Vaeni Naoussa
It is a giant producer representing 50 per cent of the local wine production, which comes from an area renowned for its exquisite red wines. The co-operative counts 200 members -experienced vine growers- who are driven by their profound love for quality wines. That vital human factor, combined with the use of advanced technology, can guarantee the quality of the wine, which is mainly sourced from Xinomavro, an indigenous variety dominating northern Greece. The winery is staffed with qualified experts and operates according to the European standards. It is situated within the boundaries of the viticultural region, which is an advantage for the product itself. What characterizes the company's course is experience, reliability and an artistic feeling. Today the VAENI wines are exported to China, Russia, the USA, Canada, Kazakhstan, Australia, Dubai, N.Zealand, Japan, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, England, Serbia and Cyprus. Their distinctive superiority can be identified right from the first drain.

Barafaka family operates in the space of vineyard since 1920 in the area of Nemea,where because of the history of our region and especially our family, our grandparents were growing vineyards.From the early age, we were dealing with the vineyards, there was the place that we were playing, there we grew up.These vineyards grew up our parents, us and our children.These vineyards gave us the right to create targets in our lives and make dreams. Estate Barafaka is a creature of Christos Barafakas.On 2002, in the modern winery, begins the first vinification of 80 acres of the family’s vineyards in Nemea, which is one of the biggest wine growing-region of Greece with ambassador the Agiorgitiko and international varieties of grapes. Estate Barafaka produces bottles per year, from which the labels are the following:Ampeloy Idea Nemea red, Ampeloy Idea White and Ampeloy Idea Roze.Also the label Nemea P.O.P, An aged wine, ‘Fessi’ from the varieties Agiorgitiko-Cabernet Sauvignon an aged wine, too.’Xilia Xronia’, is the name of the white wine from the variety Chardonnay, an aged wine for 3 months in barrels and at the end ‘Fylaxto’ a sweet wine from the variety Asirtiko. All of the Barafaka’s wines have participated in competitions and have won gold and silver awards in some very popular and international wines.

Sotiriou Winery - Οινοποιείο Σωτηρίου
The story of Sotiriou Winery goes back in 1996, at the historical village of Lesini in the region of Oiniades, in central western Greece. Dimitris and Efrosini, a young couple back then, decided to pursue a full time career in wine. Both born and raised in Lesini, they carried childhood memories filled with aromas and flavours from the local wine varieties. Their love and appreciation for the local wine tradition raised in them the desire to preserve and continue this tradition and served as a motive power for a dynamic start. Since then, in the m2 of privatelyowned vineyards in Paracheloitidas, a region famous since ancient times for their exquisite wines, Sotiriou family produces and bottles local traditional varieties of white and red wines, like Malagouzia, Goustolidi, the traditional Mavroudia and other. Today, two years after foundation, the winery is housed at new buildings, equipped with the latest equipment required for the production and bottling of wine and cellars with the right conditions to mature and store the wine, while construction continues to finish other buildings for wine tasting and other events.
