Brookdale Estate
Hugged by the tranquil valley and surrounded by natural beauty, Brookdale Estate offers some of the region’s most innovative wine creations. This sprawling country estate, crowned by a Manor House which overlooks manicured indigenous gardens, wild fynbos, dipping valleys and towering hills, serves as a unique, working wine farm where imagination meets skill. A true Cinderalla story, the estate was once overgrown and underused. The Rudd family saw its enormous potential and acquired the property with a clear vision in mind – to create a world-class country estate that produces fine and interesting wine blends using unusual varieties in a South African context. Before vines could be planted, alien vegetation had to be cleared, and the balance of nature restored. The Rudd family successfully cleared the 67 hectares of land, salvaging a block of Chenin Blanc that would become its maiden release and planted the remaining 40 hectares with indigenous vegetation and gardens for guests of the Manor House to explore. As ardent wine connoisseurs, Brookdale Estate is the pinnacle of the Rudd family’s passion. Here, Mediterranean varieties, a unique Paarl terroir and innovative winemaking techniques are brought together under the visionary hand of owner, Tim Rudd, and winemaker, Kiara Scott Farmer. Brookdale Estate is home to an elegant, award-winning Manor House, a Bistro, Tasting Room and state-of-the-art Wine Cellar. Stay Curious.

Newstead Wines
Platinum Cap Classique Rosé Producer, 96 IWSC Top producer Cap Classique - South Africa - Amorim Challenge 2024 & 2021. Top aged producer Trophy 2024, 2023, 2022. Newstead Wine Estate 2006, when Doug and Sue Lund bought fallow land in Plettenberg Bay, winemaking in the region was only an idea, and Newstead Wines was just a dream. Newstead has since been described as the best kept secret inside the South African wine industry’s best kept secret. The first vintages of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were released in 2012 to almost immediate acclaim, and awarded at several shows. Pinot Noir came next. With the release of the Cap Classique (French method Sparkling wine), critics really took notice, and Newstead now has an avid following of fans in South Africa and aficionados abroad. The estate has also cultivated a growing but not overgrown offering. Weddings and events, when taken on, attract guests from as near as Plettenberg Bay, and as far as the US and Europe. They’re drawn by the astonishing location, the outstanding quality of the food and wine, and the care that goes into making each event unique and personal. Lunch is served on the vineyard lawn. And stylish accommodation in the vineyards is characteristically warm and authentic. That welcoming intimacy is the thread that runs through any Newstead experience. As the name “Lund Family Vineyards” suggests, the sense of family is palpable. Homeliness has heart and small really is special. “We’re a boutique winery. We won’t produce large quantities of wine, or anything else, at the expense of quality.”

Harry Hartman Wine Company
We are a group of friends who share an obsession with wine. We have a deep, and passionate love for the Cape, her terroir and the talents and the character of her people. All of these have inspired us to showcase and share with our friends, both at home and abroad, what we believe to be some of the Cape's most extraordinary wines, stories and personalities. We aim to have a positive impact on the wine industry in everything we do, paying proper attention to sustainability wherever we can. Success for us means growing a thriving business, in a flourishing industry successfully applying the philosophy of "Do no harm". Or as the Three Wise Monkeys say: See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Our business started in 2019 when our founders, Sean “Harry” Harrison and Marcel Hartman, decided to share some of their favourite wine produced in the Cape and beautifully labelled by Sean. They soon realised they needed more - more wine, more money, more talented hands on deck - to grow the brand and the business into a full range of wine showcasing the depth and variety of the Cape's terroir. Enter Simon, Stan and Jen. Together, we are more. Two wines were initially produced under the Harry Hartman label - a Bordeaux styled red blend from Stellenbosch, and a Shiraz from the Cederberg and Stellenbosch areas. It has since grown to a range of eight wines. We plan to remain a boutique-styled operation that creates small, impeccably-crafted batches.
