About Abby Cunningham

I am a recent grad from NAIT with a diploma in Television Broadcasting and I’m jumping into the industry and putting the skills I learned in school to work! Through school and work with the Oilers, I have learned many different valuable industry skills ranging from videography, post production, lighting, setting up and conducting video shoots/interviews, and so much more. Even though I’m still fairly new to the industry, I’ve been working hard to find as many jobs as I can. Oilers Entertainment Group hired me back for this, where I am currently working as a TVA for The Oilers and run the jumbotron graphics using Expression and LED lights using Dashboard. This past summer I worked for the Edmonton Elks as a game-day social media assistant, running the Instagram stories and learning the ins and outs of marketing through social media. And finally after two and a half years on the Bell Media Street team, I got “promoted” to a Promotions Coordinator where I assist in building contest and event page, draw winners from contests, and a lot more. I am looking forward to continuing in the industry and looking for some freelancing opportunities to broaden my skillset while I continue the hunt for a full time job! Outside of school and work, I enjoy skiing, and rockclimbing and am always fantasizing about my next travel destination
