Background

About Abby Ruskey

The future that is calling presents a tall order that I believe humanity is up for. We can move from incremental to exponential action, from self-absorption to justice and community-building, and from power and resource inequity based upon fear and greed-driven impulses to holistic and life-generating moments, lives and systems. As a sustainability education, climate justice and policy specialist, I possess deep experience and training in education and learning, sustainability and systems, planning, research and policy. My portfolio includes integrated capacities in order to guide individual and collective transformative change. Recently a colleague wrote, “I always have respected your leadership and ability to get work done with a large group of people weighing in with their own perspectives and agendas”. I balance attention to detail, excellence and accountability with a commitment to justice, equity and ROR (return on relationship) in these extreme times of paradox, disruption and possibility.
