About Abhilash Mallikarjun
An experienced researcher working towards a Ph.D in Civil Engineering. My research primarily focus on problems in the field of structural earthquake engineering with keen interests in design of seismic-resilient infrastructure systems, performance-based design, seismic retrofitting and rehabilitation of existing structures. My earlier research work was on composite structures which involved experimental studies to understand the axial compressive behaviour of CFT columns. Currently, I am working on seismic retrofitting of open ground-storey buildings. The present research is primarily focussed to deliver an economical retrofit solution to overcome the premature collapse of OGS buildings. The proposed technology helps in delivering a seismic resilient infrastructure for the community.
